Well, I haven't seen the Heath Ledger version yet, much like anyone else that doesn't live in the future. 
But since I really liked the original, and I was kind of mad when I found out it was being remade, my vote goes to Jack Nicholson.

Dude look for the trailer on youtube. The next Batman movie looks nuts.
From what I've seen, the next Joker is going to blow Jack's away. Can't
wait to see it!

I've seen the preview, when I saw I Am Legend (Pretty good movie).
I'm not saying it doesn't look good, I just don't think you can beat the original very easily...I really enjoyed it.
It's a classic.

I Am Legend... horrible ending.
But the preview!! The Joker in the street firing two automatic guns as
Batty comes at him on the bike, laughing his a$$ off. It's just sweet. >.>
