I'm not awake enough to voice my own opinions at the moment, but I reccomend this video, which is insanely amusing whether you're a console gameer or not.

Ok, As I'm watching this video the first time it seems the 5 IE windows I have open, the 3 msn convos, and NWN, my computer gets fed up and says HEY BRAT I'MMA CRASH! Soooo I shut down like... everything to watch this video....

And I'll point out that at 1:01 it says mario- but SHOWS sonic....

...Other then that... I'm sleepy....

Not that I don't understand the joke, but you only pointed out that it said Mario and showed Sonic.
Just before that he says Metroid, so he should have shown Samus, but instead shows Master Chief from Halo.

Oh, by the way, here's another videio for the console wars. It focuses more on systems through the ages, with just a little bit of talk on the Wii and such in the end.

Makes me wonder, with as many idi--I mean, people who come into my store asking for "That Mario game on the playstation 2."
My usual response is to simply state that Nintendo would throw a hissy fit if their beloved icon made even a vague appearance on another system.

To which, I usually get "Well, I seen it at Wal-mart.", complete with the implied southern accent. =/

What if Nintendo does get beaten, and suffers the same fate as Sega...?

Looks like Sony is the one losing at the moment, though. They've already lost a lot of their exclusive titles. =/

Grand theft auto is to be shared with the Xbox360 now. Though, Rockstar had offered Sony exclusive rights, but they didn't want it. O.o

Assasin's Creed was -also- offered as an exclusive to Sony, but it, too was turned down and will be available on the 360.

Devil may cry, a long time sony-only title, will now be multiplatform.

Virtua Fighter... well, at least Sony got theirs first, where the 360 version won't be out till later this year.

Katamari... was originally anounnced as multiplatform, but now it's 360 -only-. Sony was ditched entirely. (Though rumors of a Wii version have been surfacing!)

Fatal Inertia, originally announced as a Ps3 -launch- title, later moved to multiplatform, and now the ps3 version has been scrapped altogether, and is now a 360 exclusive.

Soul Calibur, long time Sony supporter, (Despite it's sudden threatening inclusion on the Nintendo Gamecube....) will be multiplatform. It's newest spinoff, Soulcalibur Legends to be launched on the Wii shortly, and It's upcomnig Soulcalibur IV to be Ps3 and Xbox360.

Tekken and Metal Gear are thinking of ditching sony as well....
Snake already making a cameo in the upcoming Smash Brothers Brawl on the Wii...

Even Final Fantasy, though they had been jumping back and forth between Nintendo (It's original console), and Sony, has been conflicted.
They even threatened to ditch Sony altogether when the Ps3 was first announced to not include a hard drive upon purchase, and needed to be bought seperately, despite it's already large price...
This is why FFXI originally branched onto the Xbox360... as a sort of threat.

And God help Sony if they lose -Final Fantasy-
The fact that Sony houses most, if not all, of the -good- RPGs of this day and age is it's only saving grace.

Xbox has never been known for it's RPGs. I can't even think of any off the top of my head save for Morrowind/Oblivion and Fable, and those are more adventure type RPGS, not turn based.

But now with Blue dragon emerging, and Eternal Sonata looking promising, Microsoft might be working their way into RPG fanatic's hearts.

I could keep listing various titles that sony has already lost, or might lose soon... But meh =/

As for Final Fantasy... So long as there's a remake of FF7 on PS3 / Xbox 360, I'll be happy.

/Agree. FF8 was the only game on the series worth playing.

Now they are just putting scantily clad women (not that I mind seeing scantily clad women in the games) to attract the target group of games. Ie. 10-17 years old geek males.

It makes baby kittens sad to see games without proper plot.

Now playing: Dwarf Fortress. Run your own fortress and see you dwarves prosper or die of starvation, kill them with traps or survive the winter and prove you are worthy to be called a Dwarf!
