I am not trying to be a nudge or anything...I am just curious. When is Chance Ferrin's trial is going to be? Also when is Johns trial? Is it going to be Public? (I would rather not have it be) If there is No time to do it currently thats fine. I would just really like to know. It just so sucky for going without a wand for so long on the server. IC its getting really annyoing also, just because I can't do anything spell-wise except apparate and use items I have. *shrugs* Well, anyways... Thanks for your time. |

There is an aim to try and get these events up and going, by next weekend at the latest if possible, there is still a few things outgoing before the trial, and possible complications beforehand, nothing is set in stone yet. Sorry for the wait, these things do take time though. I already have a ton on my plate that I need to get though beforehand. |

I could be wrong *shrugs* but that what I was told....and it says it on the 'Wand Lost' token I have.....several people told me you don't need a wand. My knowledge on the HP world is not very great, so I usually trust in what people say |

I'm with Insanity on this one. There is a point in the books when Harry, Ron and Hermoine cause a ruckus in the Ministry of Magic and have to flee. One of the trio comments that he/she doesn't think the muggleborn who was fleeing with her husband had a wand, thus they wonder if she'd been able to escape. ((People were apparating to escape.)) Currently, Drado and Calan disagree with me, unfortunately. Sorry, Insanity. :3 |

From Wikipedia: "It is never clearly stated in the books whether human Apparition requires a wand. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Ron Weasley attempts unsuccessfully to Disapparate from captivity at Malfoy's Manor while he does not have a wand, and some theorize that this is evidence a wizard needs a wand to Apparate. However, it is more likely that the cellar in which he was held, or the Manor itself, was bound by an Anti-Apparition spell. Also in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", Harry tells the Muggleborns in the Ministry of Magic to "attach themselves to somebody who has got one(a wand)" so they may use 'Side-Along Apparition'." As Mugglenet says, wandless magic is the "sort of magic that he does to Aunt Marge in PA2. This is magic that comes from strong emotion and is unfocused and random in nature." Mugglenet seems to lean towards Apparation requiring a wand. "However, given Harry's remarks in (HBP4) that his experience at that time was the first time he had ever Apparated, it would appear that the incident referred to in PS2 was probably not Apparition but something else, such as Levitation." I do think JKR is vague enough about the subject that she might even intend apparation to be possible without a wand. However, as I disagree with her about the logical spelling of "apparation," I have no problem going out on a limb to say it only makes sense that apparation would require a wand—particularly for students. |

JB has a point. Even if wandless apparation was possible, students probably wouldn't be able to achieve it, and it wouldn't be taught in the schools curriculum, as no wandless spells are taught. |

Aren't first years taught to get their brooms to jump up into their hands wandlessly? : P |

I call that "Movie Magic." I don't think that happened in the books, did it? |

The brooms, themselves, are magical objects. |
