Just counted and I have 17 D&D books on my shelves at the moment. My pen and paper DM is also a writer for D&D and has his own publishing company for D&D stuff, so I've got lots of free stuff floating around too.

I've got a set of dice a friend sent me, and I've torrented D&D books to help me know what the bleep I'm doing when somebody invites me to PnP over OpenRPG.

Seeing as books are barely mentioned in the OP, I'll say "barely", since the books are all I have. Then again, I have a metric ton of them, plus enough dice to choke an elephant.

*looks at the D&D-based computer games, book of character stuff for my last tabletop game, and the five OotS books I just finished rereading* *moves from the spare room/office to the bedroom and spots the Changeling books I've been glancing through for the last couple of months* *moves to the living room and looks at the miniatures, OotS board game, bags of dice, binders of old campaigns and character sheets, fuzzy oversized d10 on the dvd shelf, the two bookshelves of gaming books and the three piles of gaming books we can't fit on the shelves* Yeah.... I have absolutely no clue what D&D is. Or role-playing.... (Oh, and ignore the fact that my husband has owned *two* gaming stores that are unfortunately no longer open due to partners.... And that I used to work 3 blocks away from the Bioware offices. And I'm not bragging.... Just *very* amused by the question as I've proudly been a role-playing geek girl for probably about 13-14 yrs now.)

Oh, I got the fuzzy d10 at a con. They had a couple of other ones, but it was sort of a last minute purchase when everyone was packing up on Sunday and the d10 was the only one that was blue. Not sure what the actual highest number die in the house is, to be honest. And OotS is Order of the Stick - an online comic that started out as gaming jokes and now actually has a plot. And two books of prequels that aren't online. And a board game that I have yet to actually beat my husband at while playing - possibly 'cause I either play the bard or the rogue. *points to my signature and the quote from Elan* http://www.giantitp.com/Comics.html((And yes, there are lots of gaming comics out there.... Order of the Stick is my favourite though))

I used to have a few actual books for D&D, before I discovered a site that had access to all the information online. Still do, probably, in the mess that used to serve as my bedroom, and which now serves as my smoking room.
