Saw District 9...it was so good, I saw it again. Really loved it! Anyone else seen it? Don't post any spoilers, for those who haven't seen it! |

It was like....so totally awesome. I had to bask in its awesomeness then go see it again, like awesome with awesome for dessert. Well, except that I saw it like three days after the first time, but yeah. Awesome a la mode. |

Yes, it was very good. I loved how different it was from your classic alien movie. |

Trailers didn't captivate me. Star Trek, Transformers 2 were good. Hopefully, Gamer will be good. |

Went to the cheap theater tonight, saw X-Men Origins: Wolverine, since I somehow managed to miss seeing that in the first-run theaters. Best $3.25 I've spent in ages. And then there was the soda and candy. Why do they charge the same at "cheap" theaters for that stuff as they do in the mall theaters? Seriously, $4.50 for a large soda. I have not yet found an effective way to smuggle a fountain drink into a theater, dangit. But seriously, Wolverine was awesome, I was almost convinced that I'll have to buy it on Blu-Ray, but I'm probably one of the few women out there who really wouldn't wanna see Hugh Jackman's butt in high def. That was my only complaint of the movie, gratuitous butt shots. |

Is this thread -only- for "good" movies, a relative term either way you look at it? Just curious. Disregarding any answer to my previous and rhetorical question, I saw Public Enemies tonight. It was... okay. A strong 3 or weak 4 on the d6. A lot of great scenes and stand up acting marred by what I personally found to be uninspired directing with no real purpose or drive. I couldn't really figure out what the director wanted with the movie. But it's worth it just to see Johnny Depp in a role where he's not laughably ridiculous for once, and Christian Bale was great, too. I found X-Men Origins: Wolverine to be a rather cheap Hollywood blockbuster with a boat load of plot holes to go. In all fairness, if you don't think too much on it, though, it's entertaining, though. |

Despite the fact that they ripped Wolverine's actual origins story to shreds, it wasn't too bad. I actually kinda liked it. That might have something to do with my man-crush on Liev Schreiber though. |
