"If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be
a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you."

Basic Info

Tigger Venus Alayne is a second year Ravenclaw at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A shy young girl, she spends a large portion of her time hiding away from human contact, constantly hoping not to even be seen by her peers. She has only found several people at the school worthy of her trust, and she often hides behind them, as though expecting them to protect her from unseen evils.
As well as being shy, Tigger is also known to be extremely clumsy. With her over-sized clothing, it is not uncommon to see her trip in fall. Though it rarely hurts her, the attention that is brought to her from such an accident tends to make her cry, purely from embarrassment. From these moments, it is easy to see how terrified she is even from the smallest of glances from those she is not familiar with. The only thing that is entirely unclear is why it bothers her so.

"It is hard to be brave, when you're only a Very Small Animal. "

Physical Appearance

Tigger stands at roughly three feet, half an inch tall. She resembles a child much younger than she truly is, not only in size aspect, but also facially. Her skin could be considered deathly pale, eyes a pure black. Her hair is a wild mix between waves and curls, the majority of it a bright orange, though a fair portion of it is black, as well. Always wearing a terrified look with her far-too-large clothing, she is truly an odd thing to see. Usually with a sleeve-engulfed fist pressed against her lips and black eyes the size of saucers, she holds the saddest look of innocence that there could ever be.

Beginning her second year, something has changed about Tigger. Her hair seems to have faded from its previous orange to a pale, almost platinum blonde. She also cut her hair to just past shoulder-length, and it has become mostly straight. Her black eyes have also faded to a pale blue. Still as pale and as short as ever, she still retains the innocence and the youth that she always had.

"Promise me you'll never forget me
because if I thought you would I'd never leave."

Her Life

Tigger's life began on a snowy February morning, the 13th of the month. The odd-looking child that she was, she was immediately rejected by those that had considered themselves her parents only moments before they caught a glimpse of her. She was small even back then, almost too small to be believed, and she would nearly die in the cold street within the week.
Her terrible luck would change, though, when a pureblooded family would stumble across her, taking her in as one of their own. Raised with the "comforts" of magic around her, she always felt a bit out of place. Somewhere inside of her head, she knew that this wasn't where she belonged, and the very idea of it frightened her. She did not like to be out of place, and she did not like to feel rejected, as she often did when her "mother" brushed off the question before Tigger could even finish asking it.
Tigger spent a lot of time alone during her time at home. She avoided everyone, from her parents to the tiniest of flies that sat upon her window sill. She spilled her secrets out to a diary that she kept as her only friend, which she hid in the floorboards of her bedroom.
She was five years old when they died. Tigger had been away, playing out in the forest as she usually did, when an accident occurred. To this day, she is unsure of what really happened. However, that bit of ignorance did not hide the fact that the little protection she had was now gone forever.
After this loss, the little girl was pushed out onto the streets. No one knew about the death but herself, and, as shy as she was, she would not utter a word about it. No one came to take her in this time. No one even gave her a second glance. She was forced to beg for food, as difficult as that was for her, and when she could not even do that, she would take the leftovers that people threw away or left behind at diners, though she would not stoop so low as to /steal/ anything.
The Hogwarts Acceptance Letter that made its way into her hand one morning came as little surprise to those who saw her, though it frightened Tigger. To be surrounded by actual people again would be very new to her, and she did not like it in the slightest. She was no longer used to having people look at her for more than a moment. Often enough, she was being shunned. And school would be very different than that, she knew. She would be in classes where she would be expected to answer, and she was unsure if she could.
Still, she knew that it would be better than the place that she was in now, and she would have to go. It meant a better life, with fresh food every day, just for her. She didn't have to worry about her next meal or if she could bathe or.. Or anything. It was as though all of her problems were melting away. That was her comfort as she boarded that train, arms pulled tight against her body, trying to avoid any sort of contact, her wide eyes on the ground in front of her, spilling tears as her fears returned to her mind.

"Love is taking a few steps backward maybe even more...
To give way to the happiness of the person you love."

Companions

The first friend that Tigger encountered was Ruoy Trams, who quickly grew to be her most beloved companion. Through Roo, she met several other people, two of those being Peran Wricken and Jade Celine, who, though she did not consider to be extremely close, she trusted with the majority of her secrets, the only problem being that she could not bring herself to speak them. Also through Roo, she met Rosdion Nifien, who was the first person she depended on for a sort of protection.
However, Ros would not be her only source of comfort. Wesley Cross would follow shortly behind, sheltering her in the simplest of ways, though that was all the tiny child would require. The next person she would discover is Serin Tyln would be her next discovery, though he seemed to be more of a last resort. Two others would become what she considered her greatest source of comfort and protection; Jessica Ashcraft and Matthew Pace, who were quick to take her under their wing.

"Sometimes the smallest things
take up the most room in your heart."
