She comes from a long line of pureblood’s originating in the Orient. Her parents immigrated to London when she was only a baby. Spending most summers with her grandparents in Kyoto, she identifies with her homeland; However, she tries to assert herself like her European peers, causing some strife in her family when she does go home over the school holidays. She is an only child, and a perpetual disappointment to her family as they had hoped for a son. Her accent is mostly British.
APPEARANCE
Slender and petite, she usually keeps her long, black hair in an orderly bun with just two chopsticks for adornment. Whatever she wears, whether her school robes or some other attire, is tidy and neat.

She is seldom seen without her pink Hello Kitty bag. She also has a charm bracelet she wears often; a small sterling silver snake is the newest addition, a gift from her grandparents when she entered Slytherin house.
One of her favorite "possessions" can hardly be classified as such. Her pet grass snake, a thin green delicate beauty. Shy and strikingly lovely, bonded with Akemi easily as the two seemed to share much in common. Lovingly named Benzaiten, named after the Japanese Goddess of Love, Beauty, Eloquence and Music.
