yeah i agree, you should get ahold of someone and see if that name is even allowed because of being related to a book character isnt it a rule on the sign's in the the welcome center? i don't know but ive seen multiple people with the lastname -Black-, but im pretty sure there not DIRECTLY related to a book character, and being in azkaban in game, has to suck but in my opinion i wouldnt go around telling people, it kinda makes you look bad.

It probably isn't stated because it really comes down to common sense. Otherwise, I assure you, every second person would be Harry Potter's distant, twice-removed third cousin. Which would suck.

Players do need to ask either Dr. Black or Nikblade for permission to play a book character's son, daughter, French buttler, cousin, concubine, and so on. I do believe I saw it in the sign room. Perhaps I was mistaken. In any case, it should be there.

Edit: Oh- And Black is a pretty common name. None of our current players with the last name of Black are related to the book character. Or, well, none should be.

cause lets say 4 people on the server are related to Harry,
and they dont know it meaning it isnt Roleplayed etc..?

There is an explicit rule that you cannot have a character related to one of the book characters without DM permission.

And for future reference for all of us, the Sign Room thread under the Room of Requirements forum lists the contents of the rule signs in the mod. :wink:
