Appearance: He's a handsome fellow, but can also be very intimidating. He stands over six feet tall, usually has a hood casting a shadow over half of his face and thick black hair running down his shoulders when he doesn't. The most noticeable thing about his appearance are his eyes, they are a vibrant red. He can be occasionally be found with an expressionless face, adding to his demeanor. But, when he smiles it seems to light his face up, often adding a goofiness factor to him that seems oddly more in place than his intimidating looks. Personality: Serin would seem superficial to most, he either seems unmoved or depressed. Or he'd seem like a fool and goof around. But of course, like most people. That is just what he projects outwardly. From the inside, he is a much more complex being. While most of his behavior might come over as mean, or hurtful; he would usually have some kind of considerate reasoning behind it. As he is often misunderstood because of this he is used to getting insults or malicious comments thrown at him, which he would usually shrug off, knowing that he tried to impart his bit of goodwill of the day.
The most noticeable part of his personality is when Serin duels. Here is where he cannot lie. Every single move he makes, a shuffle of his foot, a flick of his wand or a deep drawn breath; they all contain his brand of passion and emotion. Though every stance he takes, and every spell he throws seem to be disciplined to its finest point, it still has room to show his essence, his soul.
Dueling brings on another part inside him, the part of teacher. He will gladly take on the part of mentor when it comes to dueling, and often already has. His experience having honed his eye at peoples footwork, stance, behavior and talent, able to judge them swiftly in skill.
History: Serin comes from a wealthy, privileged, pureblood family. He is the only one left however. Tragedy had struck his family in his early years in Hogwarts, losing his parents in his second and third year, and then later his brother in his fifth. He doesn't seem to go to deep into details about any part of it, as shouldn't be expected, for it isn't material for an open discussion.
Tyln Mansion
Talents: First and foremost. Serin is a very talented wizard; mostly so in the area of Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Because of this he makes an excellent duelist; which is a skill he has honed over the years. A not as common known talent of his is his talent for music, piano specifically, he can sometimes be found giving a small show when he feels like it, Conjuring a piano, and would play anything on request. He prefers to learn the pieces he plays by ear, not by sheet.
Friends: Serin doesn't have a lot of close friends per-say. He can be a very open person and would try to befriend anyone without bias, but often these friendships aren't very deep. He would consider them more acquaintances then true friends, they would truly become his friends after he would have given them a piece of personal information, an insight into his psyche. Often though, his friendships seem to end abruptly, either from his side, or someone else's. Usually due to an act from Serin's part. Mostly, his friends know who they are.
Aribell Blaze
Probably one of the more unexpected things Serin had imagined he'd come across. He knew this diamond in the rough before, but never had a chance to truly get acquainted. Then, at the point where he had all but convinced himself that he would never have someone in his life again, she strolled in. He made sure to keep his guard up at first, not sure if she was trying to befriend him, or up to something. But after hanging out for a few days she grew on him. Not sure on what to do in this particular case Serin decided to keep it on the low at first, until she made it apparent to him that she had feelings.
Things grew on from that point, though Serin tries to keep a sober mind about the entire thing. Not wanting to repeat any mistakes from the past. In his typical fashion, Serin is alot more hooked then he'd ever admit.
