He's recently finished his OWLS and has started to show an interest in mastering Occlumency and Legilimency. He's also shot up about a foot to his full adult hieght, as well as sprouted a full beard and mustache seemingly overnight. Puberty hits some people fast.

His first encounter with magic:
well, to tell that story, I'll be moving into a third person narrative perspective.

Mike was walking home one day from elementary school. He had just turned 10 and was happy as could be. He had opened one of his birthday presents early that morning. It was a strange looking and oversized pocket watch that his grandfather had bequeathed to him. It had interesting markings all around it's edges and was shaped like an octagon. It also clicked open in two ways, one to show the time, and the second to reveal a hidden compartment within the watch. As well, it was made from brass, and had a strong steel chain.

Well, while he walked down the street from his school, he swung his watch from side to side, gleeful in it's shininess. Mid-swing, he was grabbed and dragged down an alley by an adolescent young man. His motives were unknown to Mike. At least until he started to grab for the watch.

As the young man tried to pilfer the watch, Mike held on to it with all his strength. But it wasn't enough. As the chain slipped from his grasp, he managed to reach out towards it. His desperation high, he tapped into his magical potential. He spoke only a few words, but the effort drained much of his strength.

He said, " Give it back." The words echoed through the air for a few moments, and pierced into the young hoodlums mind. They squeezed their way into the jumbled mess that the young man called a brain and changed a few things, albeit, temporarily. For a bit, the young man suddenly wondered why he was mugging his best friend. The young man set Mike down, and gave him the watch back. He then patted the young mike on the head and sent him on his way.

When Mike got home, he told his parents about it. And that's where the story ends.

His most recent accomplishments include:
over the summer of sixth year he was given a sword and fencing lessons by his Grandfather. As well, he had the lesson of "Magic Can't solve Everything." hammered into him by the old man.

He has successfully crafted his first batch of 'heating stones'. His first invention is a success.
