Erin Renée Blake

Erin is a Ravenclaw, through and through. Not only is she one of the school's most beautiful girls, she is also one of its brightest; Her academic record is flawless, and she is a favorite student of multiple members of the staff, most notably Professor Flitwick. She can typically be found in the library or in some secluded nook somewhere in the castle, curled up with a book with more pages than many of Hogwarts' students could count.

Her Background

Born to a Swiss-French mother and father in Geneva, Switzerland, Erin received her magical blood from her mother. Her father, a wealthy investment banker, largely disapproved of his wife’s “eclectic upbringing,” and for many years was in denial about the fact that the wizarding world even existed. When Erin was five, in an effort to take his family further from Beauxbatons (where his wife received her magical education), he moved the family to London, England, and enrolled Erin in a small private school.

When Erin’s letter from Hogwarts arrived, her mother made every effort to keep it hidden from her father, and purchased all of her school supplies in secret. Erin was sent to Hogwarts under the guise of “a preparatory school for girls somewhere in the Alps,” though an owl post with unfortunate timing spoiled the act while Erin was at home for the summer between Fifth year and Sixth Year. Her father took the revelation surprisingly well, thanks to the owl’s news: Erin received top marks in all twelve of her O.W.L.s, an achievement that even her father couldn’t help but be proud of once he understood the implications of its importance.

Her Home

After serving as an important figurehead in the Federal Department of Finance for several years, Erin's father retired, and he and her mother traveled the globe for a number of months (during which time the efficiency and frugality of the floo system gave him a profound appreciation for magic). The pair finally settled on the Sartoris estate, a massive mansion nestled in the French countryside complete with its own vineyard and extravagant amenities. The house and the land surrounding it have been in Erin's magical side of the family for generations, and as the remaining bearer of the Sartoris bloodline, she is slated to inherit it as her mother did before her.

Her Appearance

Erin is, simply put, a beautiful girl. Naturally pretty without ever having to lift a finger, she’s often mistaken for being two or three years older than she really is, though there’s an undeniably innocent and wholesome look to her. Soft blonde hair falls about her face in gentle waves, usually not much longer than her shoulders. She has a habit of tucking it behind her ears constantly, since it falls in her eyes quite a bit, and occasionally chooses to wear it up in a ponytail or braid it into pigtails. Some strands are lighter than others, highlighted naturally by the sun, and the colors of her hair range from a dark blonde, almost light brown, to a soft champagne blonde, and just about everything in between. Her eyes are an unusual shade of mossy green that sparkles brightly in any amount of light. Her features are strong but feminine, with a petite nose, high, well-sculpted cheekbones and lips with a gentle, tempting arch. Perhaps one of her best features is her flawless smile, which is commonplace on her face, and brings to life the tiny dimples on either side of her mouth.

No longer the delicate little thing she used to be, Erin did quite a bit of growing up before coming back to school for Sixth Year. Though she’s still as slender as she’s always been, her relatively unremarkable figure has given way to generous, supple curves, a trim waist now flaring out into the full chest and hips of young womanhood. Her body is kept in ideal shape by her constant practice on the quidditch pitch, giving her lean, athletic figure a fair bit of muscle, and the number of boys that turn and stare or whisper to their friends when she passes in the hall is hard not to notice.

Her Wardrobe

Erin is the owner of an impressive collection of couture pieces and designer ensembles, some of them made exclusively for her, and an outrageously large collection of shoes, heels, flats, and boots. Her heritage is particularly evident in her closet at home, or even in her trunk at Hogwarts, where she mixes elements of muggle and magical design to create her own unique blend of fashion. With the rare exception of the occasional night out at The Green Door, her clothing is always tasteful and mature. To compensate for her somewhat petite stature, she often wears stiletto-heeled boots to give herself a three- or four-inch boost.

Her Personality

Erin is an instantly likable person, with a definite brightness and a magnetic personality. She is friendly and personable, and though she’s a bit moody from time to time (like any other teenage girl), her personality is predominantly open-minded and down-to-earth, and she’s a natural listener, often serving as a mediator or a shoulder to cry on to her friends. Erin has also earned the affections of many of her male classmates, and is a notorious flirt, but it's fairly obvious that, after a recent break, she and Gregory Smith are once again an item.

Also an exceptionally bright student, Erin is a hard worker, often purchasing textbooks and class materials far in advance of the year they are assigned to get a head start. She constantly butts heads with Madame Pince for not signing off on the completion of her curriculum so that she can get ahead on the next year’s work, which is a source of perpetual frustration for her.

Her Future

Erin has recently begun to entertain the thought of joining the Ministry to serve as an ambassador or diplomat of some sort. Her natural ability to negotiate and deal with people, coupled with her extensive knowledge of languages and her experience living in multiple cultures, would make her a logical choice for such a position, and her mother's extensive connections in the Ministry would ensure that she could, at the very least, get an interview.

Erin is classically trained in piano and voice and self-taught in guitar, and she's an accomplished dancer and gymnast.
