The day Alia's acceptance letter to Hogwarts arrived, she punched her mother in the mouth.

Naturally, it wasn't intentional. When the owl came flying through the open kitchen window, Alia--who had been mixing a bowl of cake mix--shrieked, flung her arms into the air with excitment, and consequently gave her mother (who was standing behind her) an exceptionally fat lip.

Having lived all her life around the Hyde Park area in London, Alia was excited to finally escape to Hogwarts for a change of scenery. Although she didn't mind the life she led in London, the stories she had heard about the wonders of Hogwarts and the rest of the wizarding world from her parents made her wriggle in her bed at night, waiting for the day her very own letter would come that would change her life completely.

Alia's life in London was simple, and she was--and still is--a simple girl. Her father was born and raised in London, while her mother was born in Spain. Both of her parents attended Hogwarts, though only her father was in Ravenclaw (her mother was in Hufflepuff). While they did teach her about what she would eventually be able to do, they also stressed the importance of understanding the Muggle world as well. Growing up, the closest thing she had to a sibling was her dog Alfie, who she left to her parents when she left for Hogwarts.

Although at times one might assume she is quiet and reserved, her laughter proves otherwise. While it is clear that she does not obsess over her appearance, the dark brown curls that fall from her head and her brilliant smile add to her natural attractiveness. The noticeable twinkle in her eyes only makes one wonder what she could possibly be up to.

She is quick to befriend new people, and will always lend a hand to those who need help. Her friendship is one to trust, but once that trust is broken by someone's betrayal, one can only expect the worst. She is definitely someone who you want to be happy, as things tend to go horribly wrong (and not for her) when she's pissed. On the other hand, when she is happy, she will gladly do anything for anyone with a smile on her face. While generally friendly, she always knows what she wants and will stop at nothing to get it.

She loves anything that is light blue, she wants to try out to be a Chaser on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team, she would love to eventually find a job dealing with defense against the dark arts, she enjoys getting new and unique outfits, she wants to find a good boy, and she is just a little bossy.
