Desis Sunei is an thirteen-going-on-fourteen year-old third year at Hogwarts, hailing from Chios, a Greek island off the coast of Turkey. He is a fluent speaker of Greek and Turkish, has a relatively healthy understanding of English, and some comprehension of Slavic languages, particularly Russian. His accent betrays his homeland to the learned, however, and his makes many a blunder when speaking English.

Lithe and moderately attractive for an thirteen year-old boy, Desis has a knack for Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts, playing the piano, and being oblivious to the underlying reason for the occasional humorous situation.

His older sister, Alexia Sunei, did not attend Hogwarts like him, but she was a fine witch with great potential before her early death. The subject of his sister is a sore one for Desis, though if it is ever brought up, he is typically cool about it.
