Aribell, otherwise known as Ari to some, is well enough known among the older students as nice, disturbing, depressed, or a troublemaker depending on who you ask. Lately however? She'd give those that passed by a casual glance as she sat off to herself or with the few friends she does have, her expression either moody and sulky or lacking any real emotion other than the sadness overshadowing her dark eyes.She is of average height, about 5' 4" and a bit on the slender side lately with an hourglass figure, weighing only 110 lbs. She's also taken to wearing darker clothes, mostly black, her make up ranging from more natural to dark eyeliner and scarlet lips. Her most noticeable feature however? Her pale skin. Ari's fair porcelain skin is soft to the touch but so pale that many joke about her being a vampire or that she needs to spend more time in the sun.
When Aribell first sat on the sorting hat it took him nearly a whole minute before placing her in Slytherin house though sometimes Ari wonders if he made a mistake, as she got along with only a few of her fellow housemates. Now, she is in her seventh year with no real accomplishments to show for it, her grades decent but hardly exceptional.
BOOM! A row of wands nearby exploded off their shelves like an avalanche as young little Aribell dropped the fifth wand she was given to try out. Ancient ollivander slowly came out of hiding, looking over the mess with dismay before hesitantly pulling another box off the shelf from the back. This time, when Aribell took it in her grasp, power rushed through her fingertips and she gazed in awe as sparks flew from the end. "Oh thank goodness.." Ollivander murmured before packaging her wand for her "Eight and three-quarter inches, oak dragonheart string. Good luck at Hogwarts!" Aribell was born October 13 along with her twin sister Aridella making her a Libra. Moon in Libra people have a strong need for partnership. Life and Family
Little Aribell was born in a London hospital sometime around two in the morning on October 13th. She and her small family then grew up in a small house nearby and they were happy for a while, albeit struggling to get by. Though they didn't stay that way for long. A few years passed, and when the twins were about five years old, too young for Aribell to remember, she walked in on her parents one night fighting. Her mother was cowering on the floor and her Father had his wand out, pointed at her. He started to mumur a spell and for whatever reason, Ari ran up and started pulling on him, hitting him with her tiny little fists. It distracted him sucessfully as he turned and pushed her away. Little Ari fell back, hitting her head on the table nearby. When she came too, her father had left, her sister crying at the door, her mother caring for Aribell. Both girls grew up without him in their lives, later finding out he sent a owl with coin once a year to their mother, who passed away in their fourth year at Hogwarts, the house in ruins from an explosion.

The Early Years
Aribell's had a long history all her years at Hogwarts, most of it involving boyfriends alone. Her relationships never seemed to last long, much to Aribell's disappointment though what they lacked in quality they made up for in quantity, jumping from one boy to the next, However, they all broke her heart in the end. The rest of her history, involves getting herself in to trouble with other students or even teachers...

SLAP! Aribell's head snapped to the side as her cheek stung sharply, blood rushing to the spot after the firm hand made contact. Slowly she blinked away the tears in her eyes letting the look of shock fade from her features as she turned her gaze to meet those of one Jinx Sinclair and the blonde boy next to him. She glared at both of them with a look of defiance and and opened her mouth to retort. That was a mistake. As soon as the words left her lips she let out a sharp cry. "Aanh!" A stinging pain shot through her body and she fell silent. "You will be taught to act like a lady worthy of Slytherin house. For now..let's start with that hair" She was then held tight as Jinx took a pair of scissors to her long dark hair, cutting it short. From then on, she suffered the abuse of him and some of those in his gang, forced to be someone she wasn't, to wear conservative clothes and little make-up, to eat just right or face punishment.
Free at Last
The bullying stopped from Jinx and his gang and it seemed like Aribell's life was finally getting better. She had a boyfriend who protected her and cared for her, and a small group of close friends. She was happy, for once in her life. And even when some of her relationships ended, there was one that stayed the same..
Mai Roarke
Aribell met Mai about half way through her time at Hogwarts. The short little ray sun in Aribell's dark life soon became her best friend. Nothing can come between these two. Mai is the only relationship Aribell's had that has lasted through everything, including their break up shortly after they started dating each other. Mai was the first girl Aribell took a romantic interest in and the last. She will always have a place in Ari's heart and Aribell often claims she made a mistake in ending their partnership. Aribell will always love this girl romantically or as a sister, however their relationship develops and will always stick by the bubbly hufflepuff, even through those long periods they go without seeing each other.

The Era of Greg
Life..was wonderful. Gregory Smith, then headboy of hogwarts and seventh year Gryffindor, asked Ari to take a walk with him one sunny day as they and a group of friends relaxed at the beach. Needless to say she was surprised when he asked her dinner and after that date, she was already gone, falling head over heels for the boy next door. They had their ups and downs but she was never happier. She was kinder, and more pleasant to be around than ever before. He was the boy she had been searching for, the one to treat her like she deserved to be treated and she returned the favor, cooking him special dinners, singing him songs in private, devoting herself to him completely. Unfortunately it didn't last..leaving Aribell heart broken when he left her under misunderstandings..her jealousy growing as rumors of his affair with Slytherin girl, Alexis, surrounded her. Their relationship was torn apart by it all and every one she had afterward failed shortly after as they just weren't enough, along with suffering some abuse from her ex boyfriend Leon LeForte.
Alot of time passed after that but the love of her life eventually made his way back to her and then it was like none of their negative past ever happened.
She was happy once again, walking around with a grin on her lips and some pep in her step but again, it didn't last..he started spending more and more time away from her until he just disappeared all together.
Still, she didn't stray, staying single all that time until he returned, lonely but her heart always belonging to him, hoping they would pick up where they left off once again....She was wrong.

Aribell's aura is black, as if she's about given up on life. She clings to the few friends she has but still she isn't happy. Her deep depression oppresses her, leaving her practically a shell of her former herself. She doesn't even have the energy to fight her enemies with her usual snarky comments.

Even the Blackest Rose can be Beautiful, can be crushed
On the left side of her torso, right near her heart, Aribell has a black rose tattoo with dark green leaves and black thorny vines around it. She had it placed there along time ago. Originally it had a name above it but she had that removed. Down lower, on the inside of her right wrist is the Yang half of the yin/yang symbol. Mai has the matching half, making it complete when they come together, showing how close she is to Mai and how important her friend is to her. She also has a few piercings, one in each earlobe,two in the cartledge of her right and one in her left, a belly ring, a small stud in her right nostril, and another piercing in her tongue which she doesn't always wear. She once had a crystal pendant with a black rose in it's center but she gave that to Mai a long time ago when they were dating. Now, other than her piercings and the occasional choker, the only jewelry she wears is a white gold ring on her right ring finger with a sapphire stone in the center.

And the Darkness Lifts to a New Day
It seems after a few days of crying her eyes and and sulking around in dark corners or locked up alone, Aribell's pain finally starts to lift, picking up the pieces and, smiling, moving on with her life.She for the most part seems alot happier and nicer. She still fights with others on occasion but she's definitely better than she once was.
Goodbye
Ever since her best friend Mai began dating Matt, or well at least since they got engaged, Aribell has been seeing her less and less which didn't bother her too much. She still loved the girl to bits. Though Matt seemed to hate Aribell as he was a very possesive and jealous guy and Aribell and Mai used to date. That seemed to resolve itself later on, though. However, things are beginning to go down hill. Aribell feels as though Matt dislikes her and isn't treating her like a friend should treat her and, whenever Mai is around, Matt almost always pulls her away to privacy, especially when Aribell needs her the most. Fed up with her friend choosing her fiance over her when she really needs her, Aribell decided their friendship has run it's course and ended it.
Serin Tyln
Aribell first really talked to Serin because of Tammy, his ex, who was experience a huge disappointment. Then, because Aribell was feeling lonely and most of the time Serin was the only one around she knew, she started spending more and more time with him and the more she got to know him, the more her feelings grew until one day she confessed her attraction with a kiss on the cheek behind a book. At first she thought, perhaps she was mistaken and he didn't return her feelings. She left the hall, to hide her disappointment. But, to her surprise, he came out and they talked and he reassured her. However, they decided to go slow, and keep it a secret. But, alas, when there's a secret in Hogwarts, the whole school will know it and everyone could tell there was something there..as they were constantly seen together, coming and going, talking in the Entrance Hall. Finally, they just decided to stop hiding it anymore.
