Born into a pureblood Scottish family; Sorcha was brought up to believe in pureblooded supremacy and proper wizarding pride. She never really gave it much thought herself; she was kept well away from any 'undesirable' sorts and she much preferred playing her violin or playing Quidditch with her brother to worrying about wizard politics.

Although her parents' growing disenchantment with the way things were taught at Hogwarts led to her older brother Lachlan being sent to Durmstrang, Sorcha was unhappy at the thought of being sent so far away from home and successfully persuaded her parents to allow her to 'try' the less desirable school.

Now having pleased her parents so far by being sorted into Slytherin, Sorcha knows what is expected of her. Good grades and a high powered Ministry job at the end of it. But now she finally has a little freedom what does she really want?
