Jania was born into a very strict pureblood family. Her parents held strong views on blood purity and the inferiority of Muggles and indoctrinated their daughter with their views. An arranged marriage, by the time Jania was a few years old her parents were barely speaking to each other and the chance of a second child was non existent, making her mother put a lot of pressure on Jania to be the perfect heir.

Already having infuriated her mother by being sorted into Ravenclaw rather than Slytherin, Jania is under even more pressure to conform to her mother's expectations and the strain is starting to show.
