-J.R.R. TolkienOnce one of the wizarding world's most prominent families, the fall of the House Wilde has long been old news. The last patriarch, Alexander Wilde, was known to be brilliant but erratic, charismatic but cruel, and it was no surprise when he withdrew from his position at the Ministry and secluded himself and his wife and children within the Wilde estate near London.
The rumors were abundant and vicious- tales of bigamy, insanity; ghastly experiments and questionable loyalties. From time to time the Wildes would still make headlines in the Daily Prophet. Usually when they died. There was the drowning death of a young son, followed a few years after by the death of the mother, Thomossa Wilde, and finally Alexander Wilde himself. As far as the public knew there was but one remaining Wilde, a daughter who inherited the estate that even in decline was worth a fortune.
After Alexander Wilde's death and at the daughter's request, officials from the Ministry scoured the family mansion, removing any questionable items and documentation- and there were plenty. For a few months it seemed that all of Alexander Wilde's secrets were exposed at last, and the gossip again flowed freely.

The gossip columnists had one last heydey at the expense of the Wildes. When at last the fickle public moved on to other things and quiet descended on the Wilde mansion, Joki returned to her studies at Hogwarts, only too glad to return to her carefully constructed isolation.
AppearanceHers is a wild face, a weird face; symmetrical and well-formed but with a feral awareness and a perpetually unpleasant expression that bars it from the realm of “pretty”. Green is her dominant color, from the veins that lie visible beneath her pallid skin to the color of her eyes and most obviously her hair. Brilliant green at the roots and black at the ends, fading into all the tones between, her hair falls thick and carelessly arranged to the middle of her back. Arched brows and thick lashes frame eyes that are bold and mocking. Her figure is snakelike, sinuous and slender with adequate curves that lend to the impression rather than detract from it. Her hands are above all her features exquisite, with long agile fingers tapering to sensitive tips and smooth nails.

Personality and MannerismsAloof and haughty, Joki often seems to be barely tolerating the company of others. In crowds and classrooms she is a nearly silent presence, preferring observation to participation, meditation to public action, and commonly responding only when spoken to. Her moods are volatile and frequently violent, chaos ruling just beneath her cool facade. Those who consider her a "friend" are well aware of the fleeting nature of her affections, from warm and accommodating to chill and exclusive at her whim. When deep in thought, Joki will sit in silence for hours, barely moving as her tireless mind works. Her face is expressive in unguarded moments, emotions plain on her features. She is driven, determined; methodically ceaseless in her pursuits. In spite of her alternative personal style and selective social skills, Joki possesses a strange dark charisma all her own.
Studies and AspirationsSlytherin, her right by blood and temperament, is tolerable because she is left alone most of the time. Political pretension among her schoolmates means nothing to her. When she goes to the parties and balls, it is not for them that she dresses and dances. Study is sacred. Classwork is a thing to be devoured, fed to the ceaseless hunger that burns in her brain. Shrapnel from her exploding cauldrons has nearly ceased to be a danger in potions class. Zane von Mecklenberg. Though some may consider it a strange match, they are undoubtedly attached to one another. Her devotion to him is absolute and unequivocal, and the ring she wears on her left hand attests to the seriousness of their relationship.
