That post was actually before she put that, I just couldn't submit it because my internet was down and it was actually to referring to someone else post about the 8th book, and I do get it, Dead Horse as in the whole movie franchise and the title meaning how can something continue if it can't move, but I know there must be a better title than that for the 8th book

Except there is no 8th book. It was just a joke.
Reminds me of an April Fool's Day joke where they said a Zombie Harry Potter was coming out. Now that I would read. XD
Personally, I'm tired of Harry Potter. I was sick of him by about the 4th book. I love the Harry Potter world, but Harry himself was just getting too egotistical and boring. If there was another book I'd rather see it be about someone else in the HP world.

It's really not a joke, there's just certain sites that it's posted at, J.K.Rowling even announced it on yahoo, so it's very much real

I've been checking around for a little while, since you seem so confident in your knowledge of an 8th book. I got this quote straight from JKR. "I can't say I'll never write another book about that world just because I think, what do I know, in ten years' time I might want to return to it but I think it's unlikely."
Then, last October, she told Oprah that she -might- consider writing another book for the series.
Then I found an article that exclaimed that she was for sure coming out with a new book based on an interview with some London newspaper with a link provided. The link sent me straight to an IMDB page about a movie called April Fool's Day.
So in conclusion, sure, Harry Potter 8 is a possibility. But there hasn't been any confirmation at all. None whatsoever. It's all just speculation right now.

Is it me or do you always look up everything you can about a future Harry Potter or anything in particular of what JKR has planned in her future career to make sure if what you hear is true or not? Now I'm just saying here and not trying to be a backside know-it-all but you seem like someone who believe's it when they see/hear about it. What I tell about is what I find online and it says the truth everywhere, there are some sites that people believe and the same ones, others think are all lies, the same goes for any other movie, and no one is exactly sure what's true when they here the news, and different people telling different stories about what they been reading on the internet. Just Saying.

How does one put this in layman's terms... Hmmm... Ah yes, I think this may work. The internet is like one HUGE game of "telephone." To take everything it spews as fact is...not wise. Which is why one must spend minutes, hours, days, months, some times even years to sort fact from the infinite fiction. Last but not least, Liss Crest is the internet. Think on those last words and I promise you your mind will be blown if not cracked/damaged.

You go on and on about seeing this online yet you can't provide a single link when asked. That sounds like bullshit to me.

I can provide a link, I apparently keep [censored] up when I try to post it though, which is what happened when I tried to post a link leading to the site for the 8th book, so I gave up on it

But not about Harry, I am sick of him, (he should of died darn it! ) It would be silly just to throw it away when there are so many things she could do with such a world.

Are you asking if we'd rather look something up than take the word of a random internet stranger? If so, yes. That's accurate. prgreenhaw wrote: Personally though, I find the above quote offensive.

Maybe, but I for one like to keep in mind whether the author has huge axes to grind or not when reading; if Shadow of Life had told us she's started to read Mein Kampf, I'd rather she knew it for what it was, at least. Since I haven't looked at this post in awhile, I'm going to reply to this bit before I go on to the juicy HP stuff. I knew what I was getting into when I started reading it. A book about magic, swords, and the like. You don't have to respect that. Anyway, I saw the JKR and Oprah episode, interesting stuff, but mostly, we'll only know when we get an official statement from her saying she is writing one. 'Kay, tanks, bai.
