Okay, got some rather major news concerning my gaming changes.
Basically RL just hit critical mass. I've been out of a job since March, and even though I've made several attempts to get a new one its not been working. My family just put their foot down and gave me a deadline, the first of next month. Since I have very little time in which to secure a new job, I'm going to have to seriously increase my efforts. This means my game time will be reduced to two, maybe three hours a day if I'm lucky to log in at all. I'm setting up a time schedule as best I can, but to enforce that I don't do any more late night gaming, my folks are going to start cutting my internet off at a certain hour. As some of you know my laptop was permanently shut off for that reason. I suspect this will be around 10pm EST, 11pm EST if I'm lucky. Sorry to say it folks, but between my RL problems growing and family relationships being really strained, I doubt anyone will see much of me this month.
I suppose you could called this a "gaming intervention". My xfire profile has proven that I've spent way too much time online. The things said about my RP habits here by my family I think have been well deserved. I need to slide back a bit and focus more on RL than a game.

We all understand completely. Take care of yourself and your family, that's what's important. I took two and a half months off entirely a little while ago, for many of the same reasons.

Hey guys, just figured i'd check in cause i'm missing you all and HP  Its been a horrible couple of months with my mum dying and then me getting sick, im still in england, staying with my mums friend whose taking care of me. (She totally rocks) Im hoping now that theyve finally discovered whats wrong with me that ill be back home in italy in around 2 weeks, then i'll be back in game, see ya'll soon hopefully! *Hugs*

OK y'all before i tell my little story i'd like to say that everyone involved is OK and theres nothing to worry about. I just wanted people to know whats goin on...
But the day I left to go on vacation we flipped the car we were in. it was me in the back with a lot of pillows ((yay ^.-)) and my BF and our best friend, who was driving. some 18 wheeler or something like that lost a tire and it flew out on the highway and curled up on itself. we tried to swerve to avoid it, missed traffic, skidded out in a ditch and it just flipped. trees caught us so it was only once. Some nice people stopped to help us and everyone made it out ok...except for the adrenaline crash we had later X.x. we did get to where we were going though ^.^
but after we get back we are going to have to help our friend with his lack of car and help get him to work and stuff. Soooooooooo my return to the server will be a bit delayed. I miss you all but this is a priority one! *waits to see who caught that >.>*

Been there, done that. At least in terms of spending too much time online. Some days I think I am doing that even now. So if you need to spend far less time online in order to get things done, so be it. Your friends will be around when you are able to make it back. Just be sure to keep people posted on your progress.
Getting a job is going to be difficult, especially in such a rush. My advice? Get in contact with a headhunting company. If you have the ability to, get in touch with a FEW of them. That, along with checking through both retail and fast food locales. Yes, retail work is a miserable place to be at times, but it'll show you ARE trying. If you have the option, however, get yourself a call center position.

Thanks for the shout there, little lady fair. And there are other Canucks online here. I'm just the largest one (unless someone beats my 270 lbs somehow). Be glad to see you when you've returned from the great outdoors.

Never done SCA myself, nor do I intend to. Therefore... bring back a few stories. I've a few friends in Oregon and Washington that are big into SCA out that way, along with having known a few here in Toronto and Mississauga. I did all my out-of-doors stuff back when I was a Cub Scout. (For you yanqui legions, that'd be an Eagle Scout for you.) I'll stay indoors and be nice and dry, thank you. Though eventually I have to do that canoeing thing again.

Hey, I am just glad to see you posting again. Take the time you need to get better, and I'll have to mail-order you a cake to welcome you back. I don't think my carrot cake is strong enough to survive an international flight from Canada to Italy. Still, I am sorry about your loss (no joking there, honest) and it is very good to see you are slowly and surely getting better.

The lot of you are all grounded for almost getting yourselves seriously hurt. I mean, I've already lost my hair. If you make me lose my goatee out of fear or sorrow, I'll cry. It is good to know that you managed to survive what had to be a harrowing experience relatively unscathed. More concerned about your health than anything else. Just... let us know how everything is going, alright?

Dirty and covered in several dozen bug bites (From more then one type of bug, even!), I am back! It was fun, although i'm glad to be back. I have some posts I plan to do, but... don't expect them right away. I haven't had a shower since I left (Unless you include when I got stuck running around in a thunderstorm yesterday), and I'm tired. But do expect me on if I can finish reading all of the posts I missed while gone.
