A long time ago there was a Ventrilo server that we had a special agreement so it basically costed us nothing to host. I was wondering if we possibly could host a Teamspeak server since it is free because I know that it was fun when we had Ventrilo up to just sit down and talk with people on there while on HP or even not HP.
I have attempted to set a Teamspeak server up and epicly failed because of port problems. I was wondering if anyone could possibly host one that is good with such things.

Edit: Not a guarantee, but I don't think I'll have much trouble putting it up.

Sorry for the double post, just wanted to give an update on this that would actually show up as a new post.
I'm currently hosting a TS Server but it is rather limited, I'm not on the computer or network that I'll be hosting it on in the future so I don't have as much leeway to mess around and figure things out. If you wish to join it for now you'll need Hamachi (really small, free, vpn software).
The Hamachi network is as follows
Server :: WoHP TS
Password :: drooblesbest
From there TS Quick Connect to the IP address listed for Error in the Hamachi server and you should be in.

I don't think it's such a great idea to have an "official" type voice server. Basically because it causes more OOC drama than it is worth. If a bunch of people want to hang out on a voice server and talk, that's cool. But, I have seen on more than one occasion massive drama blow outs. As I said before, they are more trouble than they are worth.
After all, this is a role play server, not a first person shooter.

this isn't about causing ooc drama, this isn't about getting an offical voice server, this is just something we had in the past too and it worked out well back then. It's just something fun for on the side, if you feel like it. You will not be forced in any way to join the teamspeak or such, it's just for the people that would like the oppertunity to have an ooc chat channel over teamspeak.
So yes, this is just for a bunch of people to hang out on, just to contribiute to the community.

Exactly what Ray said, this isn't an official voice server, it's just for whoever wishes to voice chat to do so. Also, Dru it depends on how many people wish to use it at a time. A public Vent server can only hold 8 people while TS (from what I can tell) has no limit, though it's set to 16 at the moment. The sound quality isn't that bad, there were 3 of us in it last night and I could hear perfectly. As for the IP to join without Hamachi...

In other words, there isn't one yet, I'll be working on it tonight.

Update ::
Okay the TS server is officially up (I think) if you want to connect the IP is "98.116.110.199". I may mess around with a Vent Server too since the sound quality is definitely better and since Vent has some more options that I like (such as changing someones volume from your end and not just theirs, don't think TS has that) but it all depends on how many people decide to use this. To be honest I'd be surprised to see more than 8 people in at a time but if there are I'll have to stick to TS.

Everyone should really join the Teamspeak server it's actually fun once you start talking. Of course if you -really- don't want to. *Cough.* Kitty. *Cough.* You don't have to. But I invite you all, you'll have a blast while playing HP or just hanging around your computer.
