Is it possible for more than one wand to choose a wizard at the same time or does the first wand loose favor with its owner if another one chooses him/her? For example, in a real duel or say when Dumbledore won the Elder wand from Grindelwald? Would he have 2 wands that favor him or does the second one take precedence?

I think from what the series tells us that one wand at a time will choose you, but you can win the allegiance of as many wands as you can find. Charlie Weasley has obviously got a new wand as Ron uses his old one during the first two books. It's possible that as the wizard or witch matures, their personality shifts with experience and their old wand isn't as suited to them as it used to be so they get a new one after graduation (or when it becomes necessary). As for winning wands' allegiance, that can happen many times and the wand will work for the wizard/witch who wins it, but it isn't the wand that chose them and the wizard/witch will probably always be partial to their original wand as Harry is in Deathly Hallows.

I hope that answered your question :)

What happens if you win a wand's allegience and had no wand of your own at that time? Does that wand automatically (or by default) choose them since they have no other or do they still have to seek one out that 'officially' chooses them?

I know, this is getting deep.....

I can't see how you'd win a wand without one of your own already, unless you stole the wand from a first year or something. You have to disarm/incapacitate the other wizard/witch and then take possession of their wand to "win" it and it would be really hard to do that without a wand to start with.

Right. So even stealing a wand wouldn't really win over its allegiance.

Not always, Harry physically overpowers Draco and takes his wand away that way. But again, that way is much harder. Also you have to keep in mind that the "feel" of the wand will alter the chances of the allegiance changing to you. Bellatrix's wand was said to be "unyielding" and it's allegiance never changed, while Draco's was only "springy" and switched to Harry after being forcibly taken from it's former Master.

Haha, oh right. I thought you meant sneaking into someone's room and taking it while they're asleep.
It seems like there has to be -some- kind of physical or magical overpowering for a wand to switch allegiance.

I can only say that stealing isn't a part of my original curiosity on the subject. As for the rest..........you'll just have to find out in the game if you're curious. :|

Oh and thanks for the info everyone, very helpful! :D

While all this is true in the books, for the sake of the server and for gameplay, we have a bit of additional lore that we've added to the books. That is that wands can also drop allegiance, including the wand that picked the wizard, if the wizard begins to use another wand that the wizard gained the allegiance of. So... long story short, a character can really only have one wand that works for him or her. We also role play that when a witch or wizard does not belong to the wand, the wand really doesn't work at all.
