Hey gang, ever wonder how rich you really are? Well I'm here to help you answer that!

Exchanging currency of Wizard Money to Muggle money is not uncommon, but have you ever looked at your IG gold and thought "Wow, I have a lot of gold I must be rich!", well think again. Using this simple equation you can figure out just how rich you really are.

S / A = D x B = ???

S = Your current Gold

A = How much one Galleon is worth

D = How many Galleons you actually have

B = Your choice of currency.

So let's figure this out.

Let's say you have 1,000,000 IG Gold and One Galleon is only worth 493 IG Gold. For American currency, One Galleon is only worth $7.35. (Exchange rates vary as it's constantly fluctuating!)

So it would look like this. 1,000,000 / 493 = 2028, which means you have exactly 2,028 Galleons. Now you take 2028 and times that by 7.35 which gives you 14,908.

So for 1,000,000 Gold You will have 2028 Galleons and $14,908 in Muggle American Dollars.

Also don't forget that your IG gold has little to do with your character's wealth. Most people RP their character's wealth based on their RP'd family, rather than the GP they have IG.

Excellent point Calan. I actually recommend you go to Gringotts and transfer all your gold into Galleons, Sickles, or Knuts. Nothing better for RP than throwing down an actual Galleon instead of saying you did. And remember everyone a wizard can easily carry around 1,000 Galleons, because they are so light in weight that the wizard may actually forget that he's carrying them!

Just me wanting to throw in I normally just RP my wealth unless I need to show proof, then i run to trade coins for coins. But trading all your gold for galleons is a rather dumbish idea, because you can't buy any items with them, well I never have tried so you might be able to with the powers of scripters. Anyway, loved reading the articles!
