Knowing what wand movement to RP is pretty difficult, because short of running to the library mid-RP you'd have to memorize it for each spell. Lumos, for example. Did you know it has a circular wand motion, rather than just a flick?

Well, fear not! I got bored one day and made a page where you can easily reference such information.

Here's the link.

It has all of the information currently available in the library for first year spells, as they are all that's currently in the new curriculum, but I will update the page for all additions and changes as they come.

Enjoy.

I updated the page so that you have to click on the name of the spell (or anywhere on the same text line as the spell's title) to see the spell. Clicking it again will hide the information again.

I felt this made the page much more compressed and easier to scroll through.

Please note that this is in the out-of-character section.

This information is not official. It's cool, but it's not official.

I like the idea of working on official, or "mod-canon" wand motions, and then posting something in the reference section. Not everyone agrees that these details should be narrowly defined, though. If it was going to show up in the reference section of the forums, it would probably be reflected in scripting or descriptions in the mod somehow.

There are canon wand motions and incantations for every spell under the new curriculum. All of this information was copied directly from the mod, so it's not something peran just made up, but I support it living in the OOC section rather than the reference section. The main reason for that is because it would be very easy for this information to become outdated, because it isn't being read directly from the server database. It's a useful tool to bookmark for a quick reference(sure beats my notepad file of spell notes), but it's not guaranteed to be as accurate as the books and library research text in-server is.
