You can log on anytime you want! The fun part of this is that we should all try to log on fairly regularly as our characters, and continue to build relationships among them. As for your character missing things, if you want my advice (which you probably don't, but I'm gonna give it anyway! ) just say you -were- there for the sorting, etc. It's really no different than how we used to pretend that characters got sorted together, except that this time there actually was a sorting ceremony.

Oh, and we probably don't want this thread cluttering up the RP board, so maybe lock this one and stick to the other topic?

Well, this is looking like sore luck for me. Due to real life it looks like I will miss most of 1st year and half of second. (I will be gone for 2 weeks due to family Oct 3-17.) I'm not sure what to do at this point now. 1st year is important and yea.. I'll do my best to try to come on but it will be in a weird time zone as I'm going to California (lol) and kind of unpredictable.

*sigh*

I know, my own problem but don't expect to see Aurora on for the events running during that time. I guess she can just be really sick in St. Mungos with some contagious illness. I guess Ashlee and the others can send her the work, otherwise I'm going to be really behind.

Merged the extra thread back into this one where it belongs. (There shouldn't be any lag issues unless you're displaying many more than the default number of posts on one page, I think.) I'm also going to finally move this thread out of Roleplay and into Daily Prophet, since it's a current, ongoing event for the mod (and because the thread is OOC and not RP).

Please don't invent wild backstories about duels with Death Eaters (who don't currently exist, at least not openly, on our mod, incidentally) or spending the night in the stomach of a dragon, or meeting Priggo in a dark alley. Instead, just take Jester's advice and say your character has been with the group all along. The same can be said for temporary absences like yours, Zim. You won't have any trouble catching back up with the group OOCly, so just say your character is still there even while you aren't on to play (unless you have a specific idea and a real desire to play it that way).

So JB you guys still need to sort out my char eh? whats the house? :p

We are able to use chars who we sorted before this but are still 1st years and haven't started HW yet right? If not i am screwed...

What's to stop you from attending second-year functions with your second year while the rest of the group are all second-years? This 'Group to year together' hasn't really been official by any stretch. It's just a bunch of people agreeing to slow down on the yearing-up and some DMs willing to hold classes.

I dont know about everyone else, but I'm thinking we should have a year class, my suggestions are flying, herbology or transfiguration, as they are the most 'active' of the classes.
What is your opinions? Just a suggestion because I'd like to see everyone together again, now that they have their friends, their enemies and their sterotypes. Might be a good oportunity for the DMs to throw some people together like the teachers did, make them try to tolerate each other etc.

So... This Saturday (10/10) will be three weeks since the characters entered Hogwarts. What seems to have been decided is that this is the time for them to become 2nd years.



So what will be happening? Do we just go to Prince, or are we having some sort of ceremony? Some time where they're "back home" then back to Hogwarts for the new year?

Since there hasn't been any organized RP (classes etc) I think postponing the yearing up to the 11th of the month would allow for that to happen.
