// I'm iffy on time zones since the last decade of my life I didn't have to care about them. :D Is central two hours ahead of east coast? So that would mean 6pm-7pm server time?

[Edit: Lol that doesn't make any sense. Whatever! - Ree]

((Two hours ahead of the east coast would put central somewhere int he Atlantic ocean, Ree >_> You said the correct time though, so no idea what you meant to say there. ))

Go by server time lol. Because for people in dodgy timezones *waves*, they can just go type in /e time and work from there.

[[OOC: As a reminder to players with characters on the Committee that attended last week's meeting, as well as those who couldn't make the first time, our next rendezvous is scheduled for Sept. 2nd (this coming Sunday) at 8:00 PM Server Time, which I believe translates to 8 EST.

Same location as before.

If only one or two people have a conflict with that time, then we'll keep it as is, but definitely give me a heads up so we can try to make it work for as many PCs as possible!

((Server time is currently 3 hours behind EST, so 8:00 EST = 5 PM server time. If you type "/e time" it'll tell you what the current time is in server time, and you can determine your conversion(check every time after daylight savings stops or ends).))

((Also, would this be owled to current committee members or publicly posted? If the latter, what's the actual text of the sign?))

[[I did use /e time, and it gave me a time two hours earlier than my own (CST)...

Regardless, the event will be at 8 EST/10 CST.

And there are no signs, no. Committee members who stayed through the end of the first meeting are ICly aware of the next time and place, and Erin would owl those who couldn't make the first meeting.]]

// It's currently Daylight Savings time, and not Standard Time. And Eastern is one hour ahead of Central. So is it at 8 PM Central Daylight Time? That would be 9 PM Eastern, and 6 PM Pacific (server) Daylight Time. 10 Central would be 11 Eastern, 8 Pacific. Standard Time would be an hour behind (earlier) than Daylight times (spring ahead, fall back), except in Arizona, where the server used to be, and where time has no meaning and dinosaurs still co-exist with humans.

// I've been saying EST but meaning PST; a mix-up on my part.

// We'll be postponing this to support Dusk-Strider's back to school event tonight at 10 EST! I'll check my schedule this afternoon and propose a time later this week. See you all tonight, hopefully!

*The following note has been posted in the entrance hall*

As far as I know, the committee has only had one meeting and the chairman has disappeared. If any are interested, I would like to continue planning the autumn ball. I have sent an owl to miss Blake which she has still not responded to but I've been looking forward to the autumn ball for weeks now so rather than wait for her busy schedule to clear up, I volunteer to take her place as committee chair.

Sincerely,
Aribell Blaze
