Posters around school advertise the upcoming Diagon Alley Valentine's Weekend. On Saturday February 9th and Sunday February 10th only, school staff will be chaperoning students of all years as they floo to and from Diagon Alley, a privilege usually reserved for only those students who are of-age! Shops up and down the streets will be rolling out special deals and Valentine's events - check further postings in this thread for highlighted events, or feel free to make up your own! Areas that students are allowed to visit include the entirety of Diagon Alley, and the Leaky Cauldron pub. It should be RPed that chaperones are always around, even if nobody is actively DMing. No staff member would let a first year simply walk right out of the Leaky Cauldron, or blatantly use the floo to visit Durmstrang. Curfew is in effect during the Diagon Alley weekend, and will be enforced by chaperones. After they have cleared the students out of the alley, they will return to school - it can be RPed that the staff guarding the exits are not there during curfew hours. It would seem Lockhart had posted up a paper that asks people to sign up for something called Enchanted Amanda. The paper says that there will be a special guest at the Diagon Alley Event that will offer to help students -make- their own valentines day gifts. The enchantment process will be 100% the materials will not. It says on the paper you can bring your own materials and discuss things with Amanda. Please sign your name - and who you're gift partner will be on this list! Otherwise - there is a small chance people may be left excluded. Please sign name and partner to the event or gift partner below - if you do not have one sign your name by itself - your partner will be selected for you. //These people do not have to be attending to enter this event - but I do ask that they contact me by Monday if they want to take part specifically in the enchantment process. PM if you have any questions. Post names below here - or pm me - this will help me keep people in order! Time will begin around 11 pm Eastern Pacific on Saturday... |
