Well, I'm able to connect now. Only problem is I'm getting an error message spam.
"There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk5\DR5."
So I spam cancel until the game loads fully.

And before anyone says "Put the disk in" it is in.

If you're willing to take the risk, I've found that using cracked .exe files avoids all the broken DRM issues that plague modern game titles. However, they're moderately difficult to find(requires some skill with google to locate a legitimate file, and no, I won't link you to one) and you use them at your own risk, as they can easily harbor malware or viruses.

If the 1.69 critical rebuild has been successfully applied, there is no need for a disk in the drive. I'd be looking to that as your culprit.

Phantom is right, Bioware removed the need for a disk. I'm really not sure what's up with that error.

The Neverwinter Vault hosted by IGN no longer exists. A new site, Neverwinter Nights Vault, is trying to keep things alive. But it does mean that the links posted in the original post will no longer work.
