As stated by Dumbledore. the Ministery doesnt have a squats worth of power inside Hogwarts. (OtP was a forced intrusion by a powerhungry biggot that tried to keep up a daydream that popped like a bubble.)
And besides. The parents wouldnt even had known that Remus is a werewolf if Sirius hadnt been snooping around the school.
Oh and the discrimination. On Serge's case it was other way around. He treated most of other people like dirt. So atleast he had enough backbone to do something about it.

Quote: As Serge said numerious times. "Boohoo. Deal with it."
You wouldn't just say boohoo to a bunch of parents. 99% of the parents at Hogwarts would want something done even if the ministry has no influence, they would pressure the headmaster into expelling them or something. And it can be seen the the ministry is willing to get involved on numerous occasions (Umbridge, arresting Dumbledore in PS, etc). They could do it. It would be a huge scandal, lovely Rita Skeeter would have a field day writing loads about it. Eventually the pressure would most likely result in something being done.
Also, being subtle isn't a stereotype, it's really what anyone would expect. Normality is something people who are 'different' usually strive towards (trust me, I should know), most people (again this is just my experience) would try to hide the fact they're different. Being a werewolf isn't something to be proud of...
Plus, parents would find out when their kids found out and it seems likely their kids would find out.

Yes, just because you are different from others doesnt mean that you will have to hide (Now thats a stereotype). Humans fear those who are different so why not take advantage of the fear instead of cowering like everyone else. Wars have been started because of the minority getting fed up with the ones discriminating them.
Thats what Serge did. He embraced the beast within, survival of the fittest and still lives by that philosophy happily with his wife, two children and two more on the way.
Besides. The only power the families have is this. Taking their kids out of school. Did you see people taking them out when Harry was marked as a raving lunatic and danger for his surroundings? Did you see them trying to pressure Dumbledore to expell him? No.
As for Remus. He resigned his of position as a teacher as he was a coward and thats more or less the most important thing I agree with Harry in the last book.
And that last phrase caught my eye. Its almost the same as saying that you shouldnt be proud of being black, handicapped or otherwise different from others. Might want to watch your tongue or snakes slide through it.
Oh wells. Rant off for now.

Treat lycanthropy as it is; a disease transmited by the bite of an afflicted person. However, using DnD terminology, the fortitude DC should be quite low if you make it so uncontrolled werewolves can pass on the curse. Otherwise, possibly have a werewolf attack event where a DM controlled werewolf attacks a student wandering around the forest late at night and roleplay the passing of the affliction. That way there's a chance for werewolves and the DM can choose to make a decent roleplayer a werewolf if he or she so chooses.

*Still remembers the last time a Werewolf attack was done. Shivers.*
Few pearls, too many swines were turned.
Just out of curiosity. Is the Wand of Lycantrophy/Cure Lycantrophy still around or was it trashed?

The cure is still in, I'm sure.. and there is probably still a way to set it.
If I tried hard enough I'm sure I could find both, not that we'll be needing it.
*If you remember, I was the only one smart enough back then to realize the original scripted cure worked, while they were trying to make new ones that would work.* XD

May I suggest something like a 'Request' or 'Application' system for something like a subrace? It's really a shame that one or two people have to ruin something for an entire community, and with applications, that could be prevented while allowing for certain members of the community to play them.
Just an idea, since I've been aching to play a were-wolf for some time now. <.<

No, even with an application, this is disabled for the time being.

Lame. <.<
I stress you to hold meetings and discussions, all that nu metal, on the topic. As stated, it's a damn shame that it has to be ruined for the entire server. So, the basic point being; reconsider the disableness, plzkthx. >.>

Meetings and discussions won't fix anything.
The server isn't exactly a democracy. =P Though, if it ever does become
allowed, which it very well might, be sure that I'll remember how
persistant you were about it.

Persistant... Yes...

Merely a suggestion suggested for the server's advancement.

That's something that was given IC through a story. When the plot is
resolved, the tail will be gone. The person didn't recieve any special
treatment, the character hasn't recieved any special bonuses or upgrades.
When she says her character has had it forever IC, I'll tell you OOCly
that her character is wrong.
To be completely honest, I didn't even have to explain that much.
=/
Continuing, seeing as that had nothing to do with this thread to begin with.
JB stated that people playing werewolves abused it. I'm not about to
question his experience. I might make them playable later, but not now.
