Post subject:  If You Don't Want It, I'll Take It Down
Alright, recently a "World of Harry Potter 2" has come up. I'm not sure
who's hosting it or whatever, but if you guys don't me hosting this one,
I'll take it down.

It had about 14 people there or whatever, so obviously people prefer it
over whatever I'm doing.

Nevermind, I figured out what was going on.

Kazin is angry because I busted down on her corruption.

I can't say I'm not sad... but anyone out there planning to play on my
hosting still? I'm hoping people still are, otherwise I'm shutting it down.

You can find Sean, Paul and... someone else as DMs there.

Just know there's a reason I didn't make any of them DMs. =)

I came here to stay...and stay is what I am gonna do. I'm not happy that they just came in and pulled the people out from under the server without speaking to some sort of an agreement. Remember its the people that make the server...not just the GM... I already heard enough people saying it was because Nik was banning people... but those people certainly deserved it. I will miss the good players that leave but I'm much happier with a clean server with my friends then what seems to be happening now... So I'm staying Nik. I hope others will stay and realise that nothing really bad comes out of this.

Okay, yeah... you probably could.

But either way, I want to stay. I have no intention of leaving anytime soon. Though I haven't been online as much due to real life issues, I'm still here.

I'm staying. The other server doesn't have many players, and honestly, they aren't people I'd want to play with anyway.

I checked it out, personally, and wasn't all that impressed. I even had somebody ask me if I would be their Ginny. >.<

I'm sticking with Nik, and that's all there is to it.

My stories are here, my characters will stay here, and most importantly my friends are here.

I was entirely confused earlier today... I got a cryptic message saying there was a server that was update beyond this one and I should go look at it... then I noticed everyone leave.

Right now, after hearing more of what is going on, I staying here. No one here has ever done me wrong and I personally think it is wrong to up and leave a server for no reason.

I think you are doing a very good job too Nik.

Although I may glance around the other server, I doubt I'll leave this one. I have no complaints with the server you are hosting, I'm actually liking more then the previous versions in a few ways. Just surprised that this is happening at all, so I'm a bit stunned at the moment. :gonk:

Just to let you know Nik, as it seems, one of my GM's came into your module asking for people to join. I spoke to him, hopefully he will cease it.

This will not be a copy, we are doing crutial updates, keep yours, we will build our own player base.

Upset with how I've been running things, Sean Asharel, Daniel Gierva,
Nix Shadowbane and Kazin went to DM/host their own Harry Potter server.

All of the people DMing over there are people who's DM applications I
have rejected. They're all angry at me for a variety of things, which I'll
try to list in completion;

I'm too strict.
I ban too many people (I've banned 3, maybe 4 since I've become host,
3 of which were just PKers, 1 was someone who was already banned in
the old server).
I'm corrupt (lol...).
I snap too easily.

Kazin is angry with me because I had to remind her of what we do here
on the server. She had been using her DM/builder titles in ways that I
thought were corrupt. I'm not going to go into detail unless she responds.

I'm sure you'd all find it very enlightening, anyhow.

The loyal members of the server returned to our server, and last I saw,
it was those few players, all relatively new to the server, who play there.

You can choose now who you're going to play with, I won't be angry
either way.

Quick notice to you Nik.

The version of HP was released to the community on nwvault.com and is availble for download. So it isn't your module, it's the communities. We are doing what we want, you do what you want.

We have no grudge against your server, your players or anything. We just want to do things differently. It's not that we hate you or anything.

Plus, any comments the came non-directly from us is otherwise false. We have not commented on you or your staff.

Tried to talk to you, but you were being to ignorant and did not acknowledge.

Damn right it's not my module. I've never said otherwise.

As for "trying to talk to me," you're a new player. You and Nix and Daniel,
the other DMs of the 'new' server. The community that has been built up
over the YEARS around the module that I'm lucky enough to have been
allowed to host by that community, is what decides what happens.

My actions aren't decided by upstarts who decide they don't agree with the
decisions I make.

And you yourself may not have said anything, but those statements are
directly what I heard from people who flooded WoHP about reasons the
splinter server was formed.

Apparently, when I logged into the 'new' server, every single DM there,
save one, immediately demanded that I be banned. Thank you, Adam, for
that.
