It's up, didn't crash. We are in storm season, even if there isn't one right over our house sometimes one nearby can disrupt internet for brief times. Possible that's what happened. |

Actually it was my make-shift UPS that failed on the router. I'll probably buy a real one tomorrow. |

I installed real UPS's on both the router and the modem. I'm tempted to dare a power failure to try and take the server down, but if I do that, it will probably happen. |

The server will be down tomorrow (Tuesday) some time during AZ daytime hours. Down time could be up to a couple hours. I'm moving the computer to another room and it is requiring a significant reorganization of the networking. I'll also take the time to update the OS and do backups. |

It required opening up the server's case, but I got everything back running. Server's up. (In case anyone likes to know server trivia, it was because I updated Linux and the new version didn't seem to like my legacy IDE expansion card.) |
