I am going to need to make a request to players that everyone please respect the PC time of the GM's. Please do not send tells to myself or RT in particular when we log in as a PC, asking for GM related things, -unless- it's very time urgent or an emergency. If there is an issue that needs to be brought up, please bring it up, but do so in a forums PM, or send the request to the DM channel. It is literally taking us hours to even go IC each night (after we have put hours into GM related things already) and frankly, it's eating away at our energy which is needed to keep the server running. We -do- want to take care of you, but the proper place for this is in forums PM's, or those "on duty" in the DM client. Please do not ask us for updates on the status of requested RP approvals via tells, unless there is a specific time urgency. If you feel that it's taking too long (which can be valid!), send a forums PM. Forums PM's are -welcome-. We have a system in place that is becoming very effective in not letting people slip through the cracks, but it still may take a few days to get through the queue, which is often a very long list of requests that all need our attention. (And of course, the less energy we have the slower this goes.) Once your RP has been approved (or denied) it will be assigned to a specific team, and in many cases a specific GM. For further updates on approved RP (and tells are often appropriate in these cases!) contact the GM team or specific GM that your RP has been assigned to. When in doubt, send a request to the DM channel, or send a forums PM. Also, even though we respect and appreciate the sentiment, please keep the welcoming and idle chatter in tells to a minimum as well. We are too often simply overwhelmed at the sheer volume of tells sent to us upon logging in to the server. In short, the GM's are here to RP like the rest of us. We need our PC time because it's where we get our drive and energy. We need the ability to get IC and stay IC so that we actually have the energy to get to everything. We can't know everything, so we -do- want to hear from you, but the proper place for that is forum PM's, or contacting GM's that are currently on duty. Of course, please feel free to contact us still on time urgent matters (i.e. something is happening -right now-) or emergencies. |
