Please do -not- claim an apartment, house or dorm room with an easel, or any other method. The reason the apartments, rooms and houses are all identical is so that if someone's RPing in the one you usually use, you can OOCly go to another one and claim it's the same (because it looks exactly the same).
We do not have enough, nor will we, to have people claim a dorm room, apartment or house as -theirs- OOCly. Please do not do this.

In addition to above:
Please be extremely cautious about RPing that your student PC "owns" (owns, rents, whatever) an apartment or house. This is not the intention of the housing. The housing is for:
-Approved post-grad (expelled, graduated, etc) PC's to RP "owning" -Student PC's to RP as being their parents' house -Visiting some other family or friend or whatever needs a house
You do not need approval to use the housing, but please remember that Hogwarts is a boarding school and students are -required- to -live- at Hogwarts. Any student that does not -live- at Hogwarts must have post-grad approval or be retired. As a side note, post-grad approval (since post-grad is in beta) -cannot- be requested.

*bump*
See the above two posts. Both of these seem to be happening again lately.
