Hello, everybody. I hope many of the players get to read this. Please pass this on to those who don't read the forums. I haven't had a chance to read any of today's forum activity, but I do plan to catch up with everyone's thoughts. In the meantime, here are mine. I am sorry to have had to take the mod down, and especially sorry we had to take it down so abruptly. I fought for a smooth transition, as I have fought for calm and striven for an environment where cooler heads could prevail for weeks--months if you count my efforts on previous HP servers. I realize that Sho behaved badly on the mod today. I have received private messages, instant messages, and even screenshots proving as much. However, I also know how hard he and Kaz have worked with me and for the mod in general for a very long time now. Both have been mistreated and taken for granted by a number of people. I like to believe it was a small, disgruntled minority with personal biases and pre-judgments about how the mod should be handled. That has been one of my arguments which had kept the mod up and running for as long as it was. I value your contributions to the mod as players. It has been a pleasure meeting and playing with many of you. I hate to see the majority of you, let alone the innocent ones who never caused a bit of grief, suffering for the sake of a few with bad tempers or a bone to pick. Regardless, I will not host HP without the full support and consent of the people who worked so hard to create it. Some have already expressed their understanding, and I appreciate that. Some have urged me to defy Sho's request to have it brought down immediately today. That is something I will never do. I honor Sho's creative efforts just as I do Kaz's. Kaz has expressed her willingness to allow her work in the mod to continue without her, but that's not the case for Sho. He did receive a more hostile treatment by a larger number of players than Kaz, as is evident on these forums. We have a version of the mod from Sho with all of his work pulled out of it. It will not run in its current form. I can't even imagine asking Kaz to pour herself into that version to get it running, only to risk having her disappointed by someone or something beyond my control once again. If anyone thinks they'd like to give it a shot, and Kaz and Sho don't object, I'd be happy to share it. I will also host a mod tonight--something other than HP--with the entire server vault intact. That way you will all be able to export your characters, if you have not done so already. If you want, you may feel free to hang around and play in character, even. I'm open to suggestions about what to host as a refugee camp for HP players. Finally, I've already been considering alternative projects to host. As a matter of fact, Sho and Kaz and I had already been talking about working on something very cool before Sho finally flipped out entirely and forswore nwn multiplayer forever and completely, as he did to me a while ago. I like Kaz's ideas, and I think her creative license freed from the restraints of the HP universe could be very fun. I'd love to see her develop her current ideas further. |

Wish it was still up, Sho, Kaz, and JB, we will miss this, please let it go back up for our sake. It was fun while it lasted, and I worked hard, so did many others. Sad to see it go. |

If you're fortunate enough to have saved your character, email it to nikblade2005@yahoo.com If not that, you'll have to hope for a rebuild, or attend JB's hosting to export your character, if he allows you. |

Just wondering how we'll know when this new server comes up, JB's, and where we can find it. |

Woo, glad to have it back! Thank you! It's very appreciated! Erm, when you say e-mail it to you, I have a file labelled alexmay2.bic in the local vault folder... do you mean e-mailing you that? |

OK, I did a really silly thing. Rachel asked me to put the mod back up almost right after I took it offline so she could get her character back, and in my hurry I re-hosted WoHP instead of the cep2 starter thing. Whoops! Sorry if anyone was confused. |
