Sunrise. The gleaming sunlight searing through the sky meant only one thing, an end to another sleepless night. Felix sat on the branch of a tree, resting his back against the trunk. He had skipped curfew, skipped town for that matter, he had gone back to Barcelona. Cloaked in jet black silk robes, and a matching cloak adorned around his broad shoulders. Quite overdressed for the Spanish heat that was to come, but he was unrecognizable, exactly what he wanted to be. Charcoal strands of hair streamed down and rested just above his eyes, a sparkle less, dull blue gaze that seemed to focus on everything but the obvious surroundings. In his hands, a single red rose, in which he twirled both left then right, cutting his fingertips on the thorns but he seemed not to be aware. Perhaps he could not feel, perhaps he was forcing himself not too.
Felix had received a letter from his father, though it lay unopened on his lap. He had no interest in what that man had to say. His mind was adrift, he wondered, he worried, he grew bitter. His thoughts floated upon a girl, one he loved, and one he missed. Perhaps she was gone, no scratch that she was gone… She had abandoned him. He felt as though a part of him was gone, it had left with her, he was not the same anymore. He had crushed again, only to react seemingly to slow, maybe he did that on purpose? Maybe he only crushed to prevent himself from realizing the truth. The truth that love is a myth. A deceitful lie made up in order to save ones sanity. He would not buy it anymore, he could not bear too. For that lie wreaked havoc on his own sanity, perhaps he was no longer sane. What did it even matter anyways?
A long sigh exhaled from his breath as he tossed the rose to the ground. Picking up the letter, his bloody fingertips soaked the envelope, he tore into it and removed the letter from it’s paper encasement. He read the short message aloud:
“ Felix, Come home immediately. I have urgent news to discuss with you about your… education.” –Alfonos Delgado
Bastard, the words cursed under his breath. He knew about Hogwarts now, he was going to force his immediate withdrawal from the school. Felix would go meet with his father, he would go home, But he had much different words to share….
((more to come..))
