Rumors spread of a new poltergeist in the castle. Some claim it is far scarier than Peeves, some claim it's identical to Peeves and you can't tell the two apart. Some claim that the new one was banished already, and some claim this is stupid and it was never there at all.
Oddly, people have begun to notice that Peeves can't seem to enter the common rooms, the kitchens, or the hospital wing.
(( Peeves will, unfortunately for all students, be able to enter those areas again in a few days ))

A new rumor begins to circulate around the school:
This morning, while many Hufflepuff girls were waking up, Amber Ramsay was found by her bed, "weeping uncontrollably". She was deemed “inconsolable”, despite efforts to calm her down.
There seems to be considerable debate over the cause of her grief: Was there a death in her family? A nasty break-up with her prefect boyfriend? Whatever the answer is, it seems that no one will hear it from Amber herself as she remains tight-lipped concerning the incident.

Drusilla is loopy. She was actually biting, sucking and kissing on the neck of Lucille Montrose, and completely believes that Amber wasn't crying uncontrollably at all. In fact, she'd be quick to get into a very long lecture about different parts of the brain and how they interact with lighting and external influence to make people see things that don't really exist, and, while droning on for a good thirty minutes per student to bring it up in her hearing range, she would have her teeth clenched into a large grin while wiping any moisture that exists from her teeth and lips.

Sam McKinnon hasn't been seen since the students came back from their holidays. Is he still attending Hogwarts? Some students claim that he's locked himself in his room and won't come out, but he hasn't been at meals, and doesn't he have to eat?

The rumors grow heated in regard to Sam; it is even said that some saw a flicker of movement in Lance's pupils during his stereotypical steel composure at his sign. He might of just blinked, though..
