(Little bit of what happened to Aerol...mainly to help explain why he left early, and explain to Eric and Ariala why Aerol acted the way he did, although most of it's not known to anyone else, bits and pieces are known to Ariala and Eric ONLY.)

Aerol fidgeted as the time grew closer, and closer to the Ball's arrival...wishing himself something well, praying and hoping that something will stir within him to dance, and enjoy himself...but sadly he realized that he is still going only with a friend. He had wished...that maybe...somehow someone would've asked him to go to the Ball with them...a nice strapping young lad to whom he could dance around the floor for hours with no end in sight, much like the fairy tales he loves so much.

However, despite his best wishes...he was doomed at the very beginning....due to some interesting choices by his friends, and a shocking reveal...he was left standing at a cross roads within the Entrance Hall, listening to everyone getting ready to have a blast...a time of their adolescent life...

He heard the words echo once more in his head...Eric, one of his better friends mentioning the situation again...in a way he knew something was wrong...something was off skew...but he had wished it were not true...that he was merely paranoid...

He knew what he had to do...he knew of Ariala's feelings for Eric, he smiled inwardly and let Eric take her to the Ball, even though it meant he would go without a date...he didn't care... as long as they were happy...he would be happy. Right?...Ravenclaw's may be known for their intellect...and wisdom...but Aerol was lacking his at this moment and it made itself abundantly clear as soon as the dancing started...he didn't mind Ariala was dancing with Eric, in fact he wanted it that way.

But, ....he was still alone...sitting at the table despite maybe hoping to spark a conversation with a house mate sitting next to him...whom later left him for another table...sent him in the downward spiral that scarred him at the very beginning...

Aerol put on his best fake smile he could, trying to fight the tingling burn at the back of his eyes, as he was forced to realize...he...was in fact...in a situation he had wanted to avoid. He stared down briefly as he watched everyone starting to pair up and dance along the floor gracefully...some not so much but still they were trying their best... Meanwhile...he was sitting there...an poor man...being forced into observing others having a great time while he sat there...alone...with no one in sight to relieve him of the feeling.

Aerol's head began to spin and he knew he had to get out of there...it was only going to get worse from this point on if he didn't...and he knew that...However, Ariala and Eric had made their way to the table briefly sitting down between songs giving their feet a rest, talking to Aerol. Eric suggested that Aerol and Ariala give a dance a try...Despite his attempt, Aerol thought inwardly "That's your job...I relinquished that duty to you..." He shook it off briefly in an attempt to get ready, he excused himself stating he had to use the bathroom.

Aerol walked calmly to the doors, eyeing the Magical Law Enforcement officers briefly before continuing on...How he hated them....for taking the one thing he had wanted all his young life away... as soon as the doors closed, the tears began to flow...he felt the hot liquid dripping down from his lashes onto his unexpecting flesh...he panicked for a mere second, tearing the dress robes he worked hard on making to hopefully impress someone...anyone he didn't care anymore who he'd thought to impress...he just wanted out of them...wanted out of the situation...free himself so to speak...

He ran across the Entrance Hall, ripping the robe off his body, where he wore his House robes. He made a desperate run towards the Astronomy Balcony...he needed some solace...he needed something...anything, an answer why it all happened to him...why he couldn't have his heart's truest desire....

He finally made it to the Astronomy Tower's Balcony...looking over the magical sky glistening with the stars above, a sense of calm began to embrace him...but it didn't last long as he was hit with a nasty flash back of his own past...more tears began to squeeze their way out of his Hazel eyes....

Sometime during the night...while Aerol was sobbing openly on the Balcony, his cries of desperation...of sadness...of agony echoing across the Balcony...he began to dwindle as the darkness of slumber began to overwhelm him...creeping over his eyes like a skillful assassin sneaking upon their target....

The one nightmare he had been experiencing took a break that night...as a dreamless slumber welcomed Aerol. He could feel himself floating in absolute darkness, flying...hovering...gliding without a broom...swirling all within the darkness of sleep... Suddenly a voice echoed out into the darkness...a familiar voice coming from within the void of his mind...beckoning him...'Eric?...' he whispered to himself as he slowly came out of the dream only to awaken and find his friend sitting next to him...concern swimming within his eyes. Aerol's stomach churned , thinking to himself "Why is he here?...Why isn't he dancing with Ariala, giving her the night of her life?..." No answer was given...as they sat there briefly as Aerol echoed his thoughts giving them voice...Eric avoided the question, continuing to ask his friend what was wrong...

Eventually, Aerol gave in...and began answering Eric's questions...why he left...why he was feeling so alone...revealing to him...why he is the way he is.

His Third year...shopping for the supplies, Aerol walked out from the Leaky Cauldron, looking at the music store next to the pub...Aerol always had a fascination with music...and decided to go in and see if there was an instrument he'd love to play...and indeed he found one, a beautiful silver plated flute. However, that is not all he found that day...a boy with golden brown hair, and crystal blue eyes...mesmerized Aerol that day...making feelings stir within him he thought were fake, or false...or perhaps something he couldn't explain...all he knew was...that was the moment he became a believe in "Love at first sight." ...The boy met Aerol's gaze and he smiled, his cheeks becoming a bright Crimson as the boy's mimicked what they saw.

Aerol made his way towards the boy slowly at first...and eventually gained the courage to achieve his goal. Find out the boy's name. "Hi, I'm Aerol." he uttered.

"Hello, I'm Jake." the boy replied, staring at Aerol smiling as he removed the headphones from his head to his neck, smiling upon Aerol as he tilted his head.

That is how they say...was history...Aerol and Jake both fell for each other deeper and deeper as the days went by...Aerol however discovered the boy and his parents were pureblood Muggles...not an ounce of magic within them or their family line...he hated it, because Aerol knew his parents wouldn't be happy, and would be worried for their son's safety....

Aerol then decided to tell his mother of it...she warned him of course, telling him "It's not safe...you know that...", but Aerol wouldn't have it. He knew what he wanted and he was going to get it...He wanted to be with Jake...maybe even forever...all he knew was, he loved Jake, and Jake loved him....finally...the feeling that made him believe that Love is love...and it is possible at any age...

However...much to Aerol's dismay...upon the night Aerol and Jake decided to ...'make things official'...Aerol and Jake embraced and kissed each other passionately, but...without realizing it, Aerol began to cause magic to stir around them...roses began to decorate the room, growing from the walls, and floor...and a small glyph appearing around them, making it a beautiful magic glow within the slightly dim room...But...Jake opened his eyes and saw what had occurred...panic stirred within him. Jake lashed out at Aerol pushing him away...

"What the hell are you?!...A-are you a...witch?!...MOM!!" Jake cried as he ran out of his room, trying to find his mother...

Aerol sat there in awe, wondering how it could've happened...how he lost control and this occurred from his own actions...he realized then that his mother was right...Jake wouldn't have understood...but he had to try...he wanted to so badly.

However, Jake's mother had other plans...she saw the room and what Aerol and Jake had done...and threw Aerol out screaming at him to stay away from her child... His heart shattered into a billion pieces that day...to this day...he is still trying to find the pieces...but he would never admit that...how wounded he was that day...

A week later or so...Aerol wanted to see if he could maybe...somehow patch things up with Jake...so he ventured to Jake's house...and Jake answered. However...

"Hi, can I help you?"

Aerol stared at Jake in confusion at first...unaware of what was done just days earlier... "Huh?..."

Jake looked at Aerol obviously not recognizing the young wizard. "Look fatso...I am a bit busy right now...I'd help you but I don't know what you want." Just then another boy scampered out from Jake's bedroom, shirtless, and his fly wide open...Aerol felt his stomach flip into a thousand times...each flip causing his stomach to fold three times in on itself...he felt he could've thrown up his whole body at that moment...

"N-no...n-never mind..." Aerol turned around quickly running away as fast as he could, tears pouring down his face as they glistened in the sun's rays as they made their plummet to the harsh concrete below...Aerol felt like he died inside that day...felt like nothing was ever going to be the same...He told his mother what had occurred and she was appalled.

Sylvia, and Aerol both went to the Ministry and petitioned a counter against the judgment that was passed upon Aerol's unknown case...'exposing magic'...Aerol did not realize that is what he had done...as one of the Minister's explained to them that they had to modify the memories of the boy, and his mother and father to forget about Aerol, and the whole entire situation...and to prevent the situation from ever occurring again he placed a hex upon the boy so that he would never fall in love with Aerol again...forcing him to see Aerol as the exact polar opposite of what Jake had desired...upon explaing that he suggested that it would be best for Aerol to just move on...

Aerol never felt so alone at that very moment...to the poor boy it felt like his heart was ripped out and stomped on with cleats doused in battery acid...Aerol would've done anything to get out of there at that very moment...to just get away from all of it...luckily for him, however...he was allowed to...Hogwart's school year had started...and he began his work and buried it further and further...in an attempt to protect himself.

He however had wished that maybe...someday someone would love him again...and maybe would be willing to help him pick up the pieces of his demolished heart...and guide him back to the road of recovery...so he could be back to his normal self...without him from that point on trying to starve himself in maybe hopes that it will break the hex upon Jake...and they could maybe be together again...but...like much of Aerol's hopes...he knew it was false to hope for such a thing.

Aerol snapped back to reality after explaining the whole thing to Eric...(in a summarized version of course.) He began to cry harder, being forced to relive the horrid past all over again...Aerol stood up immediately. "Alohamora!" casting a spell upon the door to the upper Balcony portion and walked up to Sinistra's Telescope...walking past it to the other side of the platform, praying that he wouldn't have to explain it again...Eric begged Aerol to wait, and tried to hug him repeatedly until Aerol couldn't go any farther and Eric held onto him tightly. For a brief moment...so very brief of a moment...Aerol just let everything go...he stopped trying to hide the tears...trying to hide the sorrow building up within him...and let it pour out for Eric to see...Aerol didn't know why he did...but he knew he needed to...

However, Ariala finally ventured her way back up to the Tower, and regretfully interrupted the brief moment of peace Aerol had...he didn't hold it against her...he in fact was angry with himself for keeping Eric away from her during the ball...He flicked his wand disappearing into the night, summoning forth his Firebolt, and flying away from the castle...towards Grimmauld Street...summoning forth Sirius Black's house...that Dumbledore had directed him to in a letter...stating something about the "Order of the Phoenix"...Aerol took a deep breath as he stepped into the house, meeting Sirius Black briefly...before making his way to a small room on the third floor to rest. Sirius didn't mind as he knew Aerol since his Fifth Year, and in between, and knew Aerol needed some space and gave him it, resuming his research.

Aerol sat there in the room starring at the fire, tears overwhelming him once more as he felt alone...all over again...feeling just as broken as he did before the whole Ball...he decided...maybe it was as the cards told him...he would be alone...he would never find the man he was meant to be with...and that made Aerol feel like his heart was stabbed by a thousand blades all at once...finally...a dreamless slumber once again claimed Aerol as he sat by the crackling fire, the tears doing their job and making Aerol sleep...once more...when the poor boy needed it.
