Post subject:  The wonderful life... That of a German girl.

(( This is RP posts for Klothilda Luebbe ))

I awoke laying in my big poofy bed. Surrounding me were my blankets of many sorts, some had actually made it to the floor. Last night was one the warmest night there had been recently and so I didn't use all my blankets. As I bent over the side of my bed to pick up two my blankets I glance around my room. The walls were the green color like they should be, my curtains the exact shade of blue, but yet something just wasn't right. Today was my birthday, I was turning 11, and yet I just couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.

After I actually woke up, I went over to my calender to put a simple 'x' on yesterdays date. As I looked at todays date I smiled brightly, today was July 13....my birthday. After I scratched off the date I skipped over to my dresser and grabbed a pair of jeans and a spaghetti-strap, ice blue shirt. I made my way out of my room and to the upstairs bathroom, setting my clothes on the table in there. I slowly undressed, hopping in the shower. The water was warm and welcoming. When I got out of the shower I put on my clothes and brushed my teeth, afterwards I tossed my dirty clothes in the dirty clothes pile.

With a yawn I made my way down the stairs and into the kitchen. In the kitchen was my mother, with her strawberry blonde waist length hair. She was gathering food and such about, getting ready for breakfast, mmm... French toast. When I walked into the kitchen my mother turned to me, “Good morning, hun,” she said as she smiled brightly.

“Good morning mom,” She replied looking around. On the table set a few presents for me and I smiled brightly.

My mother turned back around to cook up breakfast while she spoke. “Happy birthday, your father is in the computer room.”

I nodded and turned to walk into the living room, plopping on the couch I turned on the TV. One of my favorite shows was on, Charmed. As I watched the show I daydreamed about being a witch and what it would be like. Half way through my show my mother called me in for breakfast. My mother, father, and I all sat at the table and ate in silence. Soon after wards we went back to our normal days.

At about noon my friend, Karlee, arrived. She knocked on the door quietly and I jumped up half way running for the door. I opened the door and gave her a hug. She hugged me back, grinning. “Happy Birthday, loser..”

Soon after Karlee showed up most of the other did as well. Though I have only lived here about a year, I still had quite a few friends. For dinner that night my mother cooked up my favorite, homemade pizza. This was one of the best birthdays I have had for a while. I got many gifts, not too expensive, but I loved them all.

At about 9 pm. I saw Karlee off, her mother had finally came to get her. We hugged and said our goodbye's, and see you tomorrow's. I walked into the living room and hugged both of my parents, telling them good night.

I went into the kitchen to grab a glass of water and took it with me upstairs to my room. On the way up the stairs I glanced out the window, and I saw something strange. An owl. It was white and just staring through the window. I shrugged though and continued up the stairs to my room.

Once in my room, I closed the door and sipped my water, while I changed into my pj's. I took another sip of water and than laid in my bed with my eyes close. Soon I found myself drifting off to sleep, but a tapping on my window woke me up. I ran down the stairs to got my dad, because I knew that the tapping on my window could not possibly be a tree in the wind.

My father followed me up stairs and opened up my window, there on my window sill was the owl from earlier. My father tried to shoo it off, but the owl simply stared. After a few moments it stuck out it's leg impatiently, attached to its leg was a letter. My father took the letter off and the owl flew off, without a look back at us. I fiddled nervously in the corner.

Soon after my father looked up at me and said, “I need to speak with your mother.”

I nodded and went to my bed as he left my room. That night I slept really badly, tossing and turning. I woke early in the morning eager to find out what exactly happened yesterday. I quickly got dressed and ran down the stairs, tripping on my way. When I got down stair I darted into the living room where both my parents were speaking quietly.

They glanced of at me and looked weary. My mother spoke first, “We need to talk. Sit down, please.”

I tilted my head to the side, my blonde hair falling around my face. “Is...,” I started and paused a moment before starting again, “Everything okay?”

My mother nodded and handed me the letter from last night. She simply said, “Read..”

I nodded and opened up the letter. It said:

“Dear Ms. Luebbe,
We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts
School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all
necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no
later than 31 July.

Yours sincerely,

Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Headmistress”

I glanced up to my mom, unable to speak. She nodded and said, “Well, what do you think?”

“Can this be true,” I blurted this out with out thinking.

“Well, if you want to go, we can get a hold of this headmistress and speak with her”

I nodded slowly, thinking for a moment. This means I would have to leave my parents for a whole school year, make new friends, and learn magic! I grinned as these thoughts flowed through my head. Of course I wanted to go. But when I spoke something else came out, “Do you want me to go?”

My mother smiled and looked at my father before she spoke. “The choice is yours...”

I nodded, “Yes than, I would like to go.” More thoughts of magic and such flowed through my head, I couldn't keep my thoughts straight. When I glance up to my mother she smiled once again and my father spoke, “Well, we will talk to the headmistress and get things straight. Than, we will go and get your school books.”

I smiled, before turning to skip off to the kitchen. I am a witch! Could this really be true? I suppose, I saw the letter with my own eyes, and this would explain the things that I could do.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I walked through 'Diagon Alley.' This place was strange, there were brooms that could fly, wands, owls, potions and everything one could think of. I was carrying my cat in my arms, my mother bought it for me as a going away gift. Beside me my mother was carrying my books and everything else.

I gaped stupidly at the stores, peering in the windows and getting strange looks from the other Witches and Wizards. My mother got dirty looks from kids wearing the color green. I ignored all of the people, caring more about the neat stuff that could be bought in a place like such.

Later that day we showed up at the train station and looked for platform nine and three-quarters. We found the wall we had to walk through and all three of us looked very nervous. I ran through the wall first, my parents behind me. On the other side of the wall was a whole different world. People were eating strange frog like things that looked like chocolate, they were giggling and talking to each other. I felt like an outsider.

I hugged my parents goodbye and got on the train, waving to them as tears streamed down their faces. Man, I was going to miss them, I thought. I sat myself on the train, it was a long ride and I slept most of the way. When I got to school, it was huge, castle like. Inside the school was even bigger. The ceiling was strange, and the teachers and students all wore robes.

I, along with others who were new to the school, followed a teaching into the 'Great Hall'. In there was every student in the school, it was a feast! I looked around nervously, and waited for my name to be called, when it was I went up to the stool and sat. The teacher placed a hat on my head and it soon shouted out, “Hufflepuff!”

All the students wearing yellow clapped as I made my way to their table. I looked around at all of the food, but I wasn't very hungry. My head was spinning at everything that had happened recently.

And with this, I figured that my life was changed forever.

I was laying asleep on my big poofy bed, in my nice muggle home. My room was the same colors it had been on this day four years ago. I had almost the same bed spread, with so many blankets and pillows. Only a few difference in my show the signs that a teenager now lives here. I now have a computer in my room, though I can't play it too much because I am only home during the summer and holidays.

Today was July 13, my birthday and today I turn fifteen. As I roll my way out of bed and to the calendar, I notice a tapping on my window. The tapping sound is unmistakable, an owl. Though I have been dealing with these things for four years now, I still don't like it much. I grew up with normal mail, you know, the kind the comes from the post office. I make my way to the window and open it up, the owl is holding my copy of the Daily Profit and a birthday card from one of her favorite teachers.

On the cover of the Daily Profit is the normal moving picture of some random thing the Ministry thought was news worthy. I just tossed it a side and ripped open the birthday card. On the from of the card is was a pale green color and had some corny birthday saying on it. On the inside of the card it was ice blue and had some more of the corny saying, but it also held some wizarding money and a small note from it's sender. It read:

"Dear Klo,

Hope things are going well. Here is some money for books and supplies for school.

Love Ariana."

I blinked and read over the letter again. Who is Ariana, I thought to myself. Just then I could hear my mother making her way up the stairs. She made no attempt to be quiet about the fact that she was coming to my room. My door was closed like always and she knocked lightly on the door and spoke through her thick accent. "Klo, dear, are you awake?"

Not setting the card down, I sent the owl off and went over to the door. I opened it, like my mother I was still in my Pjs. They were blue and green like almost everything else I own, except my school stuff, which is yellow. I spoke to my mother through my accent, "Well, yes I am awake.. Did you think I could sleep through my own birthday?" I thought the rest of what I wanted to say in my head, Even though no one will show up because I have no friends here.

My mother smiled sweetly at me and spoke again, "No, honey, just wanted to see if you got anything yet."

I nodded quickly and showed her the card, "Who is Ariana though..?"

My mother blinked and spoke softly, "That is my sisters handwriting.."

I tilted my head slightly, questioningly. "You have a sister... I have an Aunt Ariana.. Why haven't you told me about this before?"

My mothers face paled slightly and she spoke softly, "Because she moved to America and we never got along, so she told me before she left not to mention her to you. And I didn't, why did she send you a birthday card though?"

"Well she knows about my world.." I nodded quickly and showed her the wizarding money that my Aunt had sent me.

And this is how I found out that I am not the only witch in my family. I have been talking to my Aunt Ariana for a while now, sending letters back and forth with my owl. We are getting to know each other very well and she wants me to take a trip to America to go see her, doubt it will go well with my mother though.

I rolled over in my bed, which was not half as comfortable as that bed at home. It also had these ugly yellow blankets, because I am a Hufflepuff. I had three pillows on my bed, one of which ended up on the floor sometime during the night.

I had another nightmare.. I thought to myself. I sat up with a yawn and looked around the common rooms. Even though the curtains were hiding my bed from everyone else's were closed, I could tell I was one of the only awake. I sighed softly and picked the pillow up off the ground and hugged it.

I yawned, loudly, not caring if I awoke any of the other students and opened my curtains. I climbed out of my bed and stumbled to the end table. I grabbed my necklace off of it and made my way to the chest, holding my clothes at the foot of my bed.

I pulled out my normal school robes and my brush. Slowly and tiredly, I made my way to the bathrooms to bathe. As I walk to the bathrooms, I hear the giant school clock ding three times.

Great, three in the morning. I mumble to myself. I shrug and hop into the bath, anyhow.

After about an hour, I got dressed in the days clothes and crept my way to the fireplace. I watched the fire crackle, for about thirty minutes. After a while I decided now would be a good time to write in my journal. So I dug through my black bag that has a yellow trim to it. In the bag there are quite a few books, quills and such, and a little aqua blue journal.

I flipped through the book to find the next empty page, pausing to read a few sentences in one of the entries. It read:

'So, today was an amazing year. I am fifth year student, my grades are amazing and I finally won over Sammael.'

I chuckled to myself, thinking of that day, quite a while ago. I sat there for a few minutes with a small small across my face, before I continued flipping through the small book to the next empty page. I thought for a moment and then pulled out one of my favorite quills, and I began to write.

'Dear Journal,

So...It has been about two weeks since I have gotten a good solid night of sleep. I am so tired. Each time I sleep I have the same freaking nightmare, and I always almost die. Is something wrong with me, I mean, I don't want people to think I am afraid of something I am not. I just can't sleep. Oh well, I suppose I will live. Just always tired.

-Klo Luebbe'

I signed my name in my usual big loopy letters. I yawned again and read through the entry, the fire crackled in front of me. I closed the book and put it in my bag, and simply sat and watched the fire until the day had began, and students woke up, making their way to breakfast.

I laid my head against the baby blue Vending Machine. Typical my New Years would be spent in the Hospital, right? I yawned and glanced around... One other person was here. He was asleep. I glanced over at the clock, and that is why, it is three in the morning. I sighed softly and looked through the pile of muggle books next to me. I sighed once again and laid my head against the vending machine.

When my eyes opened again the room had more light then before. I noticed more people were about and my mother was sitting next to me, asleep. I looked at the clock again, seven in the morning. I stood up, careful not to wake my mother. I stretched and looked around before putting my cloak over her like a blanket, she looks really tired.

I walked over to the counter, and a nurse dressed in white looked at me. When she spoke she had a heavy British accent, "Can I help you, Miss?"

I nodded slowly, still trying to wake up. "How is my father? Edwin Luebbe?"

The nurse dug through a couple files and nodded. "Mhm.. Yeah, he is fine, had a slight heart attack. The Doctor fixed him up good. He is sleeping in room 203, if you please to go visit him. And he will be kept here for a few days to be surveyed."

I nodded slowly and thanked her for her help. I made my way to my fathers room, following the directions the nurse had given me. When I entered the room the first thing I noticed was that he had the room to himself, the second bed was empty. My father was asleep, and I did not want to wake him up. I sat in the chair seated next the window and I waited until he awoke, watching the ongoing outside.

About an hour later my father stirred and woke up. I glanced over and smiled, glad to see life in his eyes. "Hey dad..." I spoke softly, my voice strained with tiredness.

He smiled softly and looked over the IVs in his arm. When she spoke he sounded like would be expected for someone who just had a heart attack. "You know, I really hate hospitals." He chuckled softly and then added, "Where is your mother?"

I nodded towards the door, "Asleep in the waiting room. I was out there for most the night." I added a yawn at the end of my sentence.

He nodded slowly.

Three nights after that morning in the hospital I was on my way back to school. It sucks because I had plans to hang out with my friends and go to the Yule Ball with my present boyfriend, Sammael. Oh well, I thought to myself. The train ride was boring and I wished I could just floo there, faster, easier, and just a better way to travel. But, of course, I had muggle parents and that would also be the reason magic could not heal my father.

When I arrived back in school, I was not surprised to notice nothing had changed. Same people, same place.

I sighed and laid on the couch in the commons and slept, at peace for once in about a week.
