A complex tome, bound in a tan coloured binding, along with yellow-ish tanned papryus. On the front, a golden plaque resides reading: 'Clockworks'.

June 12th,

It has become as if I am not there. Not in mind, nor spirit. I've become a souless body without any direct purpose. Is it my fault I distrust everyone after my father's death, or is it their forceful actions? I just won't know...

After his death, I took a turn for the worse. I've grown distant from friends, ended my one and only 'true' relationship, and impersonated a french exchange student. I've given up a lot in my life, but my soul seems to be the one thing I gave away last. The Devil himself enjoys praying upon the souls of his victims, and Death seems to strike so violently at those who you hold clear. Am I safe?

Everyone has become judgemental, thinking I am a masked, dark figure who is in line with the known criminal, John Dranco. Never have I been so ashamed to show my face around school, when will this personal hell cease its existance?

With little things to do, I am attempting to find things to do. I've begun planning once more, delving into the crazy contraptions that I once thought interesting before particular people came into existance in my life. Quite possibly if I kept at work, none of this would have happened, and my father would still be alive. Maybe then my mother would stop blaming me, and saying that magic would have been a suitable solution, instead of letting him die. Just maybe she was right.

June 13th,

I have come to the realization that I was lied to all my life. After the death of my father, I set to find out about my past, and his past, tracing it back through the generations in the numerous tomes in his personal library. The only problem was that my mother would not permit me within the walls of the sanctum I once called home. There was one way, to use the powers that I was cursed with; magic. Apparation was simple now, and dimensional pouches permitted the transport of vast quantities of objects with the slightest bit of ease.

Once the Library was raided, I apparated out of there in a fury without looking back to see what I was leaving behind. I knew that if I was caught I would be further disowned, and that my family would cut all ties from me; however, that was not my concern, I needed to figure out something that could lead me to an answer. These tomes that I had taken must have had atleast one answer, it must have.

An entire day was spent reading the first collection of books that I had taken. Upon reading over the first, I found nothing of important, not the slightest bit of relevance to what I was seeking. Three tomes later, I discovered something I now know that I would have wanted to know in the past. I was no Muggleborn, I was Half-Blood.

I was decieved. Throughout my life I was considered a social outcast, and a tyrant for the powers that I had possessed; however, I finally discovered one answer that would change my life; my father was a Wizard. He was not known as a Wease, and it was documented in his tome that he took upon that name as an alias when he was outcasted from his immediate family for his experiment that failed miserabely. His true identity lied within a serious of runes, and clues left in the margins of the book, and after a long period of time, I discovered his name: Ayin Mesmer.

Ayin Mesmer, as documented in his tome, was the name given to him by his father, who based the name off of his own ancestor in ancient times. Ayin Mesmer, the ancestor, was documented to have lived in the time of castles, kings, and the war of the races. Apparently, he was considered Thayian, which I have was unaware of ever existing. He was considered a Red Wizard, obviously back then Magic was present, yet not understood as it is today. Through reading Muggle books, I've come to the realization that it could possibly be a false history of Ayin Mesmer, as Thayian Enclaves were listed in fictional books, but were present in some non-fictional ones.

As elusive as my father, Ayin Mesmer was left to be secretive of his work, combining his magical orientation into his experimental prowless. It seems that the similarities in both Ayin Mesmers runs through my veins, as I too create experiments. Maybe now with this knowledge of my family, may I see the light in what could possibly be. I know not of waht to fully think of on this situation, although more reading should provide me with harder evidence.

June 13th,

It has been a long day, these tomes have grown more complex with every second. Marginal notes have been made, words in latin have been translated to what I thought was going to be English, but then I discover it is Greek. I am barely scratching the surface into my research, and thus far it has been proving itself to be difficult. From what I have discovered, Ayin Mesmer, my late ancestor, being a Red Wizard of Thay, was not only that, but Mayor to a little sea-shore town known as Wharftown.

A contriversal figure in his period of time, Ayin Mesmer guided himself to lead the desperate town of Wharftown into a Thayian settlement, changing it for the better it seemed. But, none of his past caught my interest, until I discovered in the margins a secret letter, just a single one. Skimming through the pages, I found more, and more, until I discovered a saying: 'For those who seek my path, they must first learn the Clockworks.'

What is this Clockworks my ancestor speaks of? Could it be another set of tomes that I have to pour my soul into reading, or some mad experimental test that I must sacrifice my time to completing? One this is for sure, I won't rest until I decipher its meaning. Although discovering this small message, I also discovered something that stirred me up inside, a detailed letter adressed to any ancestor who ever read this book about where his collection of experimental notes were being kept for safe keeping. I've quickly jotted down the jist of the message, trying to capture the meaning somehow through its riddles:

'Dear Ancestor,

You have stumbled across one of my many tomes, ones in which the secrets of my time where hidden away, and forged the very existance of some of what you see around you. Although I have passed away, my experimental notes lie hidden from those who seek to re-make what could potentially harm you, and those around you. I've left it well hidden, and thus I shall only give you these clues to aid you, only those who seek the knowledge and not the physicality may find it. I am well beneath the ground, hidden from sight by the rich environment above me. I become moist with rain, although it is essential for what is above me to live. May you not think cattle, or a farmstead, but of utter importance, for I am not buried in a recognizeable spot. But, let it be known, my marker is not my own, but of something entirely different to my name. You may find me close to heart, but we lay apart.

Now, I leave you with that, just that my child, for if you are true you will find what I have hidden.

~Ayin Savvix-Urhun Zrask Mesmer

That was what he had left me, a simple riddle in my mind, but one that proved to be difficult. It wasn't a farm, but it was close to heart with a marker. I assumed graveyard, but I was wrong thus far. I can't figure this out, not yet. Maybe there is more in these blasted tomes...
