'Hm, I wonder if Mr. Filch is patrolling around tonight..' whispered Emily in a calm yet bemused sort of tone. '-- Hopefully not near-by..' Emily was tip-toe'ing her way to the library, it was dark; most of the torches had gone out for the night. Em looked around the dungeons cautiously. Nothing, not a student, professor, cat or house elf in sight. She was being extra careful tonight, Mr. Filch was back patrolling the halls again after a long 'break'. She was even wearing dark colours to blend in, wearing her newish satin robe, completely black - Hufflepuff's secondary color - made for her by Gladrag by special order. And of course a hood to go with it. As she reached the stairs up to the Entrance Hall, she paused to glance around again. Still nothing, good, only a bit more to the library -- She hoped Mr. Filch wasn't near there either, she had some searching to do. A book on some of the more complex Transfigurations and another on techniques. She thought it'd be best to look some up, while she had the extra time at night. She wasn't planning on sleeping tonight, she had had 'too much' lately.. Emily climbed the stairs quietly, flatting herself to the wall and peeked around the corner. Still nothing. 'Hmm, maybe he's not on his usual Entrance Hall patrol..' Em thought to herself, sneaking across the hall, pass the Age Line and toward the staircase. It wasn't as dark in the Entrance Hall, it was always lit up with a few torches and candelabras. It also usually had a few students who didn't respect the curfew - not that she was, at the moment. 'I guess Mr. Filch scared them off into their common rooms..' Looking around one more time, Em climbed up the marble stairs towards the library. |
