// this RP is dedicated to all of the great times on HP that ive experienced myself as a player and the great players I have met along the way. I would also like to truly dedicate this RP to Gopher66(Bill O' Keefe), DJ_Birdie ( Narn's) and Angel (drogo, anani) , to Kimi, who is not a noob, and to last but not least.......CJ!!!!! There is a light..... The only light that can be seen save the few candles lit in the tower's windows. This light shines upon the great oak doors revealing its weathered wood and splintered hinges. This light is being held by a tall hooded figure wearing pure black, his breathe can be seen in the cold air.... This light is the light of a wand. There is a light...... The light is not strong enough to light the face of this dark man. The sun would not be enough light to show his ominous dark face. The shattering wind does not budge this figure nor does the mountanious castle full of good hearts and pure souls in front of him frighten him off.... The ominous figure extends his arm to pull open the great oak doors with ease. There is a light...... A light that now illuminates the dark halls of the great school of witchcraft and wizardry. The figure kept a slow pace while he took ominious strides towards the great staircases. He walked ever so slowly and ever so quietly. To where he was heading, to whom he was looking for, to why he was there on this quiet and peaceful night....even...to who he was, nobody knew.... This figure's soul alone was full of enough hatrid, darkness, and even sorrow to empty and destroy the happiness fulfilled within these great halls. His ominous walk was enough to make your skin crawl and curl up in a corner just trying to avoid this figure. The figure was about halfway through the entrance hall when he began to slowly make his way up stone steps. His shadow darkening the stone steps in a form like no other. There is a light..... A light with a destination, a light with a goal, a light with determination, a light full of deceitt and hate, a light full of friendships that used to be, a light......that bears fate! The hooded figure made his way up the steps, it was almost like he has walked these steps before, like he has been here. It was like he knew....his goal. He made it up the steps and kept at his slow pace, walking ever more ominously. Animosity filled his dark eyes. He walked so much at a slow pace, you would think he is crippled, but the dark figure showed no limp or injuries.....he just kept walking. His presence in the school was like fingernails scratching a chalkboard.....only worse. The figure made it to a door, extended his arms but this time the light illuminated his arms....they were muscular. Very well built for a beater position. The door that the figure opened led to a room full of winding staircases, the room was dark, the figure just made it even darker. He fulfilled the room with an empty feeling. Every room his soul touched dampened its liveliness violently. Not only was the room full of winding staircases....they were all moving, like they had a mind of their own. Yet the moving of the staircases did not seem to confuse or even make the dark man hesitate....he just began to climb. He obviously knew what he was doing. There were few torches hung on the walls to light the room, but everytime the man would walk past a lit torch....the flame would flicker faintly then.....whoosh....the lights went out. The man was so quiet while he walked, the witches and wizards sleeping in the portraits did not budge while the ominous figure walked past. Torches flickering out as he walked by.....whoosh......whoosh. He kept climbing the stairs at his slow but steady pace, torches going out at the same time......whoosh, the room became even darker. The dark figure's boots hitting the stone steps was the only sound in the whole school! Yet, there was another sound....the sound...of a boy. This other sound was coming from a room much higher up in the school than the dark figure who resided down below. In one of the mountanious towers of the Great school of Hogwarts was a boy, a sixth year Ravenclaw. This ravenclaw could not sleep, hes been having nightmares like none other that he just cant seem to rid. These nightmares scared the boy, saddened him, and even gave him a sense of false hope. He tried his best to escape these nightmares but....he could not shake them. Every night almost, the boy was shakened by them, he even cried once because he missed home and the nightmares did not help. He missed his family, his old friends who departed hogwarts, and he missed the ability to sleep.....in peace. He could not go back to sleep, he was worried, frightened, and even worse....... homesick. He decided to go for a little walk so he quietly removed the bed sheet off of him and slowly slipped on some slippers while still sitting. He got up and looked over at his friends..... The faces of his friends sleeping cheered him up slightly, but not enough to cure his looming nightmares. This Ravenclaw had a good sense of friendship and valued his friends most of all.....he took his eyes off his friends and he leaved them to their dreaming. The boy wiped off his sweat with the collar of his sleeping wear. The sweat just made his clothes stick to his body....he needed a walk and most of all.....to be alone. He exited the sleeping quarters as quietly as he can trying hard not to wake his comrades. He slowly jared open a door creating nothing but a slight creaking noise. The door led to a small flight of stairs. The Ravenclaw slowly made his way down the flight of stairs using the light of some nearby lit torches to see his way. He made it to the bottom which led him to another room that was dark and empty save one candle. The boy carefully walked over to that candle, trying his best to not run into anything he could not see due to the darkness. He made it to the candle with no apparent mishaps and used the candle to light several more. As the boy lit the room, comfortable couches, sofa's, and an abundance of armchairs revealed themselves. A fireplace, many shelves, glasses containing many bazaar objects, and an abundance of bookshelves all were revealed. The boy has entered the Ravenclaw common room. After lighting up the whole room, he sat down his last candle and chose a nice couch to sit.....he pondered about everything, life, family, friends, and even the nightmares he could not escape. Something moistened the boy's face....it was cold.....it was warm. A single tear was shed that night, a tear full of sadness and grief. This tear evaporated in the warm candle-lit room, the fire in the corner only making it warmer. As the tear was gone off the boy's face, and now it was one with the air, forever floating in the room, the boy thought about everything. He thought about his family most of all, what they were doing? Were they alright? Were they....still alive? Just thinking about this made the Ravenclaw want to cry his eyes out and run as far away as he can......hoping....just hoping, he will end up somewhere away from the nightmares and away from his shadowy thoughts. He thought about the things he experienced at this great school and the people he met along the way.....he just sat there....and thought, trying to rid his sad-filled mind. There is a light.... Whoosh.....one light left......whoosh, the dark shadowy figure walked past the final torch and completely darkened the whole room. The room with the moving staircases was now completely full of darkness....except one light. The light from the tip of the man's wand.....was still lit. After walking many many steps and darkening every one, the man finally made it to his pre-destined door.....the door that led to the fourth floor. The figure extended his muscular arm once again and slowly turned the doorknob.....the door came ajar only to reveal many more torch lit hallways. The figure had to have been here before, he walks the halls with ease, knowing exactly where his destination lies and exactly what lies beyond every door. He walked on through the hallways, turning here and there, ending the lives of flames by walking by and at the same time...he gave birth to darkness. Darkness swallowed the halls, just as darkness has already swallowed this man's heart and soul. Through many various rooms of different shapes and sizes, the man walked, getting lost was not an option. Room after room, hall after hall, he walked ever so slowly and ever so quietly. Eliminating torches as he went....the school just became darker with his presence. He went up a small set of spiraling staircases which led to a long hallway lit with several torches, as most hallways in Hogwarts were lit.....torches. But the flames that these torches bore did not know that their lives would soon end.....Their light would be no more. The dark figure walked on, ending the flame's lives as he went....whoosh.....whoosh....the flames dispersed, engulfing yet another room in complete darkness. The man was about halfway through this hallway when another door came into view on the opposite side. This door was smaller than the great oak doors that the man had come across many paces ago, but this door's height and size still held its own. The sight of this door made the dark figure act abit.....strange. The man hesitated slightly when his eye's landed on the door that lay in front of him. It was the first time the man ever hesitated....almost as if he was rethinking everything, rethinking his actions. After the slight hesitation, the man continued to walk closer and closer to the door. One more lit torch left in the hallway....the man walked....gaining on the door.....whoosh.....the light was out. When the figure's shadow finally darkened the door he was pursuing, the man just stood there and stared at the door, almost as if he were trying to open it with his own mind. After staring at the door concentrating on who knows what, the man flicked his wrist and the light emenating from his wand went out, completely drowning the room in darkness save the flickering candle-light seeping through the crack on the bottom of the door that lay in front of the man. This time, the man did not just open the door....he raised his arm to knock....why would he knock? It was as though the man knew somebody beyond this door was awake other than himself at this time of the night. The sixth year Ravenclaw was completely lost in thought now, shedding more and more tears, when he heard the heart-stopping sound of knocking. The sound of knocking in the middle of the night, especially in deep deep thought and being completely alone was the most horrific thing that could happen to the boy at that moment. The boy jumped out of his seat like he just got shocked with much electrical force. The ravenclaw was scared.....very scared! He had no idea what to do.....run back up to the sleeping quarters and stay up there or....open the door. Then he thought he was just hearing things and his mind was playing tricks because he was thinking too much. The option of the boy hallucinating was soon destroyed as he heard more knocking. The knocking was real....genuine....authentic. There was knocking and the scared Ravenclaw didnt know what to do....he was shaking. Then he thought it may just be a teacher....he could only hope it was a teacher. Then he thought it may just be another fellow Ravenclaw that may have lost his or her key to gain access to the common room. The boy had to open it....it was his only choice. He hurriedly wiped off all his tears trying to make his eyes look as dry as possible. His heart thumped.... Faster and faster. Like a horse running full speed across a bridge.... It thumped.... He shakily got up from the sofa, just hoping it was a teacher or just a fellow student. The closer the Ravenclaw came to the door, the more empty he felt.... it was a strange feeling.... Hard to describe feeling.... He just felt....empty. He was trying to cease his own shaking so he would not be so embarassed when he did open the door. The boy made it the door, extended his right arm, turned the knob and pulled it ajar. ... .... There they stood....staring at eachother, the man with a black heart and an innocent Ravenclaw. ... The boy tried to figure out who....or what he was staring at. They just stood there and stared at one another, the boy into the dark abyss of a hood, and the dark man into the boy's eyes... The boy had enough! He was not gonna just stand there and be a coward....he was not gonna stand there and shake like a coward would.... He finally gathered up enough courage to speak and surprisingly enough, his voice was not trembling....This even surprised the boy himself. "Can I help you?" ... There was no reply. The dark figure just stood there and did not move a muscle... It was starting to get awkward. "Who are you?" .... No reply. ... The Ravenclaw started to get impacient....this was annoying him and he wanted to know who this "person" was and why he was here. The boy had enough, He was just about to close the door on the man when.... The figure slowly raised both his arms up to his hood and slowly started to remove his hood. More and more he pushed his hood back, the shadow of his face almost completely gone. ... The man's face was revealed... The Ravenclaw cocked his head to get a better look at the man's face.... The boy gasped in awe....in terror.....in disbelief. "This cant be" thought the boy.....and it really could not be... ... " This is unreal, it has to be" Thought the boy again. He can not believe what he sees. The boy was speechless.....he knew this man....very well. ... "Bill?" Right when the Ravenclaw spoke his name, he could see a tear coming down the man's face...He was crying... Avada Kedavra! ... .... The thumping sound of a body hitting the ground could be heard.. The man had his right arm extended...wand out....pointing in the direction the Ravenclaw once stood. ... The Ravenclaw was sprawled out on the ground, eyes gaping up at the ceiling....lying at the man's feet... He was dead! The man who commited the crime pocketed his wand and moved his hood back over his face. The man looked down at the dead Ravenclaw and he bent down to shut his eyes. After closing his eyes, he stood up and still stared down at the body.... ... "Goodbye Dante....my old friend The man's voice was just like any other voice...nothing dark or demented about it. He turned on his heels and left the room...leaving the door open. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The next morning, there was no body to be found in the Ravenclaw common room. Only a note....a note that lay in front of the door leading out of the common room, right where the incident had happened. In scribbled handwriting, a message lay written on the note: "Whos laughing now?" |

// I know technically that Dante would not of ever met or even known Bill because of the last character wipe....but cmon....ITS how I always wanted Dante to die. // Lets just have this one exception......I dont want to let a char wipe ruin how I originally wanted him to die. |
