Post subject:  The pros and cons of procrastination.

Dante slammed open the door of the Ravenclaw common room. He came rushing in, as fast as his legs could take him. His face bore eagerness and a tint of determination. He had just sprinted up to the common room from the grounds, after collecting the last bit of potion's ingredients he needed to examine for his potions essay that needed to be completed in the next half hour.

Dante heaved a heavy sigh while he collapsed on a tall chair, slamming his books on the table.

"This is the price you pay for procrastinating" Dante thought as he turned the pages of his immense potions text-book.

Dante reached in his bags in a very quick manner to retrieve his glasses, he shoved them on and began to scan the pages of the book. Every so often, Dante would look up from his paper and check the clock that was just above his work table. The ticking grew louder and throbbed inside Dante's head as he came to the point where chicken scratchings was what he had to resort to.

Ten minutes

Dante scribbled on, just writing random information down to just make the essay look "good" but who was he kidding? He was not gonna pull a fast one on Professor Snape, thats for sure.

7 minutes

Dante dipped his pheasant feather quill in the enchanted inkwell for the last time and finished his essay with a conclusion on the the long term effects of accidentally eating murtlap fungus.

Dante hurriedly slammed his book shut, tossed his quill in his bag, closed shut the jar of his ink, and bolted out of the room now setting off for the dungeons.

He sprinted down the staircases, surprisingly, he didnt trip or fall. He Ran through the entrance hall as other students gave him many different glares. He darted down the stairs that lead to the dungeons and checked his watch hurriedly while running through the cold and damp dungeon halls.

1 minute

Dante was having a hard time holding up his bag while running. It weighed him down and forced him to run with an awkward style. He now was breathing heavy, pulse frequencies were rising, and more sweat dripped from his nose.

He came to plain sight of the potions classroom and slammed the door open....

Dante suddenly turned a bright crimson color as he recieved a bombardment of stares from the entire class. A million times worse than the class's glares was Snape's glare. His stomach dropped intensly, he felt as though his heart were residing in his bladder at this point. He walked up to Snape, trying his best to avoid the class and there stares. He came up to Snape and planted his feet firmly in front of the potions master, unknowing of what will happen next.

"Late again Lightfoot."

Dante wiped off the sweat with the end of his robe.

"Truly sorry Professor."

The potion master's Glare now penetrated Dante with an immense effect. Dante despised Snape and thought nothing good of him.

Dante rummaged through his bags as the whole class watched him look for his potions essay. He finally retrieved it from his bag and held it up high for Snape to take.

" No Lightfoot, I will not accept this."

Dante was now really getting annoyed!

"But prof-"

Snape cut him off.

" I will not tolerate your excuses Lightfoot. Ive had enough, now go take your seat."

Dante was pent up with anger at this point. He wasnt sure if he should release it or let it pile up and eat at him in the inside. Dante thought of it and decided on the latter.

He turned around slowly, eyes towards the ground, and walked to his seat, collapsing on the hard chair.

The class finally shifted their gaze away from Dante and towards Snape for the first time.

"Today class, Dante has taught us all a very valuable lesson....."

Snape paused as he looked over the class then finished his sentence....

"Business before pleasure."
