Alright folks, this will be a short, open RP so if you have a reason to be up on the 6th floor and notice something jump on in! The 'mystery' will last about 40 minutes total for the characters including the small breaks between parts. I'll be posting nine times total and maybe one or two more after that to wrap things up. I would recommend using the link in each post. ;)

Selena had never seen this room before but was instantly grateful she had found it. It had been far too long since she'd sat down and just played to enjoy the music. With a very small smile she crosses the large open space and settles on the bench of the piano, lightly gliding her finger-tips over the keys before straightening her spine and placing her hands over the starting keys.

The music when it started had a moderate tempo, the notes repetitive and steady. The sound carried clearly across the room and out the slightly open door to the Conservatory. After perhaps 25 seconds of steady music Selena began to sing.

"Dear my love, haven't you wanted to be with me;
And dear my love, haven't you longed to be free.
I can't keep pretending that I don't even know you;
And at sweet night, you are my own.

Take my hand...

We're leaving here tonight.
There's no need to tell anyone,
They'd only hold us down.
So by the morning's light...
We'll be half way to anywhere,
Where love is more than just your name.

I have dreamt of a place for you and I;
No one knows who we are there.
All I want is to give my life only to you;
I've dreamt so long I cannot dream anymore.

Let's run away, I'll take you there...

We're leaving here tonight.
There's no need to tell anyone,
They'd only hold us down.
So by the morning's light...
We'll be half way to anywhere,
Where no one needs a reason...

Forget this life,
Come with me.
Don't look back you're safe now...
Unlock your heart,
Drop your guard.
No one's left to stop you...

Forget this life,
Come with me.
Don't look back you're safe now...
Unlock your heart,
Drop your guard.
No one's left to stop you now...

We're leaving here tonight.
There's no need to tell anyone,
They'd only hold us down.
So by the morning's light...
We'll be half way to anywhere,
Where love is more than just your name...

Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, yeah yeah..."

Selena continues playing for another 15 seconds or so then lets the music fade away. The second it does her posture relaxes and she sighs heavily, rolling her neck and shoulders to work out the stiffness of not having played in ages. After a couple minutes she sits up straight again and prepares to begin a new song.

Selena's hands begin to glide over the keys, another moderately paced melody fills the room and drifts into the hallway. After a small intro she begins to sing, her hands still playing smoothly.

"I always needed time on my own,
I never thought I'd need you there when I cry.
And the days feel like years while I'm alone,
And the bed where you lie is made up on your side.

When you walk away I count the steps that you take,
Do you see how much I need you right now.

When you're gone,
The pieces of my heart are missing you.
When you're gone,
The face I came to know is missing too.
When you're gone,
The words I need to hear to always get me through the day and make it ok...
I miss you...

I've never felt this way before...
Everything that I do reminds me of you.
And the clothes you left, they lie on the floor...
And they smell just like you, I love the things that you do.

We were made for each other,
Out here forever...
I know we were, yeah...
All I ever wanted was for you to know,
Everything I'd do, I'd give my heart and soul...
I can hardly breathe I need to feel you here with me, yeah...

When you're gone,
The pieces of my heart are missing you.
When you're gone,
The face I came to know is missing too.
When you're gone,
The words I need to hear to always get me through the day and make it ok...
I miss you..."

As her voice fades the music continues on for a short while before it too fades away. Selena pauses, her posture relaxing as she stare blankly into space, her eyes distant and unfocused. It takes nearly five minutes for her to come back to herself, once she does she straightens her spine and sets her hands on the keys, ready to start her third song.

As the music starts up again the tune is more upbeat and rock-like. Selena's hands fly over the keys as she sings.

"Ohh, ohh,
So much for my happy ending...
Ohh, ohh,
So much for my happy ending...
Ohh, ohh, ohhhh...

Let's talk this over,
It's not like we're dead.
Was it something I did?
Was it something you said?

Don't leave me hangin',
In a city so dead.
Held up so high,
On such a breakable thread...

You were all the things I thought I knew...
And I thought we could be...

You were everything, everything,
That I wanted...
We were meant to be, supposed to be,
But we lost it...
All of the memories so close to me,
Just fade away.
All this time you were pretending,
So much for my happy ending.

Ohh, ohh,
So much for my happy ending...
Ohh ohh...

You had your dumb friends,
I know what they said...
They told you I'm difficult,
But so were they...
But they didn't know me.
Did they even know you?
All the things you hid from me,
All the sh*t that you did...

You were all the things I thought I knew...
And I thought we could be...

You were everything, everything,
That I wanted...
We were meant to be, supposed to be,
But we lost it...
All of the memories so close to me,
Just fade away.
All this time you were pretending,
So much for my happy ending.

It's nice to know that you were there,
Thanks for acting like you cared,
And making me feel like I was the only one...
It's nice to know we had it all,
Thanks for watching as I fall,
And letting me know we were done...

You were everything, everything,
That I wanted...
We were meant to be, supposed to be,
But we lost it...
All of the memories so close to me,
Just fade away.
All this time you were pretending,
So much for my happy ending.

You were everything, everything,
That I wanted...
We were meant to be, supposed to be,
But we lost it...
All of the memories so close to me,
Just fade away.
All this time you were pretending,
So much for my happy ending.

Ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh,
So much for my happy ending...
Ohh, ohh, ohh, ohh,
So much for my happy ending...
Ohh, ohh, ohh, ohhhhh..."

As the music and her voice fades there's a dark look in her eyes for several minutes while she collects herself. Finally she sets her hands on the keys again and starts her next song.
