My dear, Here are the items you requested. I wish you hadn't been so cryptic, I can't imagine what you'll need them for. Of course I'll send your allowance along next month as usual. "Cash or store credit?" "Cash."  Two cloaked figures stand across the narrow counter. The shopkeeper listens as the hooded teen speaks, then shakes his head, tapping a finger against the dark wood as he enumerates his points. Shaking his head, the shorter figure speaks a short phrase, inclining his head. Silence falls in the apothecary as the old man considers the boy standing before him, then he nods, speaking a single question. The response is two words long, earning a nod as the man reaches below the counter, drawing forth a small vial. Payment is made, and goods exchanged. My child, Here are your belongings. I took the liberty of removing everything that was damaged, and laundering the remainder. Your chest was a loss, but as I already replaced that I have simply sent these along in a box. I have a few questions about some of the things I found. Call me - I know you're in London, so you can get to a phone. Don't think that you can get out of this, either. You have absolutely no bargaining chips on the table, not after what you pulled. No call, no note, and no explanation! You're lucky I let you out of this house. You're on thin ice, and don't think I won't call a private tutor if you keep this up. Love, Mum |
