//This story is basicly about what Eglan does when she's gone away from Hogwarts. Hope you all enjoy!! If you have any comments or questions or wanting to post abit on how you meet Eglan, that'd be awesome! I looove reading stories ^.^ Thanks bunches! MS//

Eglantina walked swiftly in the dark seemingly black forest, towards a large ancient tree, her cat Velvet following behind her. The tree’s branches twisted and clawed at her as she drew near.

A smile curved across her ivory-white skin, as her voice smoothly melts into the night’s crisp air, “Now... now…” she paused and looked around idly, “Do you truly think you can hide from me?” Slowly, she slipped out her wand and scanned the area around her carefully.

A small annoyed hiss of Velvet’s melts into Eglantina’s mind, “He’s near… Why must he always play these idiotic games with us?”

Eglantina did not take her eyes off of the area around them; she nodded agreeing with Velvet, and then whispered back, “Because he’s a complete---”

Suddenly, she heard a branch snap. Eglantina quickly raised her wand to the direction of the noise, but she was caught off guard as a quick blur of white slammed against her hand, causing her to fumble with her wand. She hissed under her breath and scanned out into the darkness, but saw no one. Then violently the ground under her shook, as massive roots burst out around her. Acting quickly, she pointed her wand and fired jolts of red light at the roots. But it seemed there were too many, as the roots started to climb up her legs and wrap around her body, tightening with each struggle she’d make.

A soft cool chuckle wrapped around her, as a man stepped out from the darkness. His white, seemingly waxy skin glowed in the darkness amongst his dark black hair and large dark amber eyes. He advanced towards her, his steps light and graceful, as a large childish grin spread across his face, “Because I’m a complete…” He paused, his dark eyes filled with amusement, “…genius?”

Eglantina rolled her eyes and remained silent. Although the man didn’t seem to notice, or care, as he turned sharply on his heels, and glanced back at her, twirling –her- wand in his hand. Eglantina gasped, “How did you?”

He eyes narrowed playfully as his voice smoothly wrapped around her, tauntingly, “I do believe this means…I win?”

He swiftly turned and pointed -her wand- at her, and then with a flick of his wrist, a flash of soft green light wrapped around the roots. Causing the roots to gently release Eglantina and slide back into the ground.

Eglantina growled and glared at the man, but he ignored her and smiled warmly,

Welcome home, little Sis…”

~Home~

Soft candle light flickered along the walls, dancing on the lightly on the frames of pictures, and rolling softly on the spines of large volumes of books stacked neatly into long bookshelves. Eglantina sat on the floor, her long silver-like blue hair, seemed to be wrapped hastily into a bun, as long stands fell loosely from the knotted coil, and hung down across her face. Her eyes seemed locked onto the book in front of her, as her right hand dipped a small quill into a metallic silver ink, and began to jot down small notes and phrases from the book in front of her.

She paused and looked up from the book, setting her quill down. Slowly rising herself off the ground, she moved gracefully across the room to a small chest, it rich wood seemed to be recently polished and cleaned. She cautiously opened the chest and took out a small potion. Moving across the room again, with the potion in her hand, she sat down and reviewed over her notes.

“Is this it?” her mind wondered. Taking a chance, she finally uncorked the bottle and raising it to her lips; she swallowed the liquid mixture down. Seconds turned into minutes, as minutes turned into hours; and still nothing. Eglantina growled and thrust the empty potion across the room, making the bottle crash and shatter against the wall.

“Nothing?” she hissed coldly, “After centuries of studying, preparing, testing… I get nothing?!”

As if someone had answered her, she began to feel warm. Eglantina blinked, clearly shocked, and raised her hand in front of her, examining her long elegant fingers and ivory-like white skin. She could feel warmth? A large smile spread across her face, as excitement seemed to engulf her. She leaped up off the ground and run over to her door. She was about to turn the knob and open the door, when she paused. Something was wrong… her hand, it hurt?

She glanced down at her hand; its normally ivory-white skin was turning darker and darker into a shade of dark murky green. Suddenly, the pain hit her. Her skin burned and started to tear, as something hot and sticky began to trickle down her arms and legs. Panic overwhelmed her, as she started to scream, “Brother!! BROTHE--” she gasped as her stomach lunged and then begin to constrict tightly. She screamed again, the pain flooded over her, as she collapsed on the ground, coughing violently.

The door flew open as a man burst into the room. His dark amber eyes widened with shock, and then narrowed, as his pale face tightened grimly. “What the hell were you doing?!”

Eglantina coughed, and struggled to look up at him, her vision was blurring and the pain seemed like waves, getting stronger and stronger as each second passed. She managed to speak before her voice cracked, “What I’m meant to---”

The man growled and grabbed a nearby blanket, quickly wrapping it around her, “You’re meant to kill yourself?! And it’s nearly---” he paused, gazing out around the room, and then looked back down at Eglantina. As her vision began to fade, and she slipped off into...

darkness....
