Family history: Alex and his sister are both half-bloods with a muggle father and a wizard mother, with wizarding traditions going back many generations on his mother's side though no traces on his fathers'. Mellisa is around three years younger than Alex but both have been accepted by Hogwarts. The May family currently live in the small town of Alton in Hampshire, England. Prior to coming to Hogwarts, Alex's parents kept the fact that he was a wizard secret from him, wanting him to have a normal muggle childhood, which he did having attended a local prep school (called Edgeborough if you're interested). Although occasionally he would set things on fire, mostly his childhood was normal and uneventfull, as was his sister's.
Personality: Alex is generally a good natured, cheerfull chap who tends to get on well with others. However, he does have a bit of a fiery personality at times (though this is usually hidden by his cool, calm exterior) and occasionally gets into fights or trouble because of this. Alex isn't amazingly popular and has a only a few friends, he is also quite shy at times. Accademically, Alex is a hard worker but lacks the natural talent of Ravenclaws but makes up for it with determination and grit (hence why he's in Hufflepuff
). He does tend to get reasonably good grades however in general, especially in the subjects which he finds interesting such as charms but even in subjects he doesn't like, he does tend to put effort in. He does however hate failing and beats himself up when he does (for example when he blew himself accross the room when a stunning charm against Lockhart backfired).

Aims: Alex is fascinated with astronomy, a fasciniation he has carried since growing up in a muggle environment and hopes to one day enter a career in this field.
Friends: Erm... not too many. Nina Rosehill, Amber Ashaller, Bella Guriko, Jack Irefni, Ginnia Swift, Amber Hall and one or two others...
Enemies: Paul Millington and Priggo whatever his sirname is. He hates these two and has repeatedly got in fights with them, often protecting his friends in the process (especially Ginnia who also seems to have an interesting relationship with them). Also Rodien Nulen also seems to hate him for some unknown reason...
