So are people playing on a replacement server right now? If so, did I miss its name, and if not, would it be possible to get an estimate on when I should look for one?

Cause my best bet is, that it attracts good rp'ers, but also bad rp'ers, well actually not even rp'ers just people that want to ruin it for the rp'ers and since nobody really ever checks under Tech Support.. I guess thats why. Bu thats what I think. Atleast we lost the annoying "log-in pvp log out" players

At first, I don't think Nik wanted it to be known it was back up at all, since it was going directly against SHO and JB's wishes. >.>
Thus, he put it where people would be less likely to look.
That's my theory, anyhow.

My wishes had nothing to do with it. Nik told me about it right after he decided to host up an older version of the mod, to get started. I was simply respecting Sho's wishes. Nik had no such compulsions, probably because he hadn't been working directly with Shova as I had. Even though Sho clearly lost all sense of appropriate online behavior towards others, I don't regret doing what I felt was right at the time in principle. That's not to say, however, that I'm not glad Nik was able to get past that.
And I believe Nik told me his reasoning for the Gamespy location was to lose some of the lamers dropping in on us, as Ray intuited. I hope it's working.
