The cursor on my screen moves around without me moving or even
touching the mouse. As I'm typing this, the cursor is dancing around the
screen. When I move the mouse it lets me have control for a bit, but not
long.

It makes it impossible to play on NWN or anything else, really. I've tried
clearing out all my cookies and whatnot, and now I'm running a system
scan with symantec.

If anyone who's good with technical issues or knows a place where a
solution is located, I'd be much obliged.

Yes, I've already tried cleaning my mouse and replugging it and restarting
my computer.

Hmmm, have you got another mouse to try plugging in Nik? See if it is a mouse or windows issue at least.

Well I have seen that before, but was when someone was getting in the computer from other computer, you know like hacking in your system. Well but that could be easelly found out, if you turn off your internet and try moving your mouse with your internet off. If thats not it, well good luck with that, maybe reinstall drivers, or the scan might detect something.

Hmm...I recall when I had that problem. We got a new mouse and that worked just fine...so it's probably a mouse problem.

Thanks guys for the help.

I was very mean to my mouse for about ten minutes and may have
jiggled something back into place while the scan was running.

I went into the mouse settings in the control panel and unclicked/reclicked
everything. It appears to be working now. Too bad I don't know which
action fixed it. :3

Much appreciate the attempted help.

Beating it like a red-headed step child works too.

Yeah, but now a bunch of things are missing from my computer. Even the
simple calculator application was marked as a virus and deleted. :3

What kind of idiot writes a virus to infect misc. applications such as the calculator? Black Hats are odd people.

Hackers use virus or malware infections to infect applications such as calculator in an effort to hide their executable code in "harmless" places. If it is successful, when you next use the program, you execute their code with whatever privileges your account has. Most people are administrators on their own systems, so.....
