We were able to recover
www.hpnwn.net! This means that the old URL works now, and that the galleries are now functioning again, and if
www.hpnwn.net is used, your cookies will function again properly (meaning the annoying "forgetting which posts you have not looked at" issue is fixed, IF you use
www.hpnwn.net).
www.wohp.net will still point to the site as well, but there are a few things that you should be aware of. Tomorrow I am going to change this to a redirect instead of actually pointing to the host server. *gasp* What does that mean!??! It just means that if you try to go to
www.wohp.net you will be automatically redirected to
www.hpnwn.net. Any links you may try to follow such as "http://www.wohp.net/modules.php?name=Forums" will not work. This is an unfortunate side effect to a redirect, but it will ensure the cookies are working properly for all.
Another side effect -may- be that any photos and pictures that directly reference
www.wohp.net will stop showing up tomorrow. I am not sure this will happen or not. To fix this just edit your post to reference a relative address (preferred) or
www.hpnwn.net. I can't say how widespread this will be, or if it will happen at all.
There also may be a short downtime tomorrow for
www.wohp.net as the DNS servers update.
If anyone has any other ideas to help reduce these issues or any objections, now would be the time to voice them. In addition I will be talking with JB to try to reduce or eliminate any of these side-effects before tomorrow. I'll keep everyone up to date on any changes here.
