Yes, if for some reason he ever had restor cast on him, it would funk up
his junk.
And yeah, I said that.
And yes, I'm too tired to think straight.

You're correct, Adam.
That was one of the reasons we only used the Appearance Changer as a temporary solution. That's why I did about a gahahazillion character remakes with people. I'm still totally in favor of a policy of character remakes if the staff can find time for it.
The Appearance Changer also doesn't remove, add, or change racial bonuses and penalties.

It's based on homework completion and your level. An IC year is 2 levels (Keeps it nicely in line with the NWN spell levels too)

Would be handy if it was possible to script one of those models (like the ones in Paris) only instead of for clothes, visual looks. (Race/head/tattoos)
Actually, I seen this once on another server...
*Thanks self for taking 40 years to get to year seven.*

Wow, way to revive a dead topic, Lilith.
Kaz tried that and we put it in for one version. It had more problems and drawbacks than it was worth at the time, although I don't remember the specifics. Maybe Calan would have better success.

I actually have a pretty good little something like that in a module I downloaded. It's available on the Vault, from the Hall of Fame.. Character Creator-something or other.

Either way, girl's got a point.. Being able to at least add tattoos would make some sense.. Hair styles too.

The rest of this thread still applies, too. I'd still like to see immediate visual indicators for characters' ages. Instead, I'm always have to RP "looking down" to First Years whose human avatars seem to tower over Jack's teenage/elf one. And I'd really rather not have to take the time to examine PCs for such clues.

That would, also, prevent DM's from having to change it. Though I'm not so certain on the race, since someone could /shrink/ themselves. Maybe only allow it to increase the height? Like, check the race, and only allow X race(s) change for that one? And once at Human height it can't be changed? Bah, I'm rambling. Regardless, it sounds interesting.

It would be good to see. Since my character RP'd changing his hair and never got around to it with a DM. Still haven't. With that, it gives us access to do it on our own.
There are a lot of places that do this. Just take the character from the DM Staff Room. The Wing/Tail/Head/Arm changer, and copy it's code, make some mods so it only does appearance and boom, we got ourselves a new NPC to use.
Plus, it should require gold to change stuff, accept height wise. Hair would be considered Hair Cuts. Tatoos are expensive

Another interesting feature to add to it would be the option to dye your hair, so to speak. After all, there are surely magical hair colouring kits, just like for muggles. Or, if nothing else, the student(s) could have went to London and gotten it done.
Pure speculation, however, as the final descision lies with the DM's and builders, though it would be interesting. I think the height changing feature should probably not be an option, however, purely due to complications that could arise.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no way to change hair/skin color in the game. This may be changed in 1.69, but I'm not 100% sure.
As far as some of the other appearance changes... yes, we might be able to script something up outside of the DM room, but it would have to be done in a way that it wouldn't be abused or over-used. We'd have to think about how to handle that.
