Yes, there's a Balrog around this thread, heehee. And they do burn things.

Adam's vote counts. *Nods.*

Alright, there's only one thing left to do. The DM's need to allow one character to be a werewolf and one to be a vampire, and we shall pit them against each other to determine who will win.

The question is...can a student become a Balrog?

You could have Calan and Drado just spawn them in an area and set them with opposing factions. Last creature standing, wins.
But then we have to take in account the years of item acquiring and power obtaining that any of them could have done. If they were just given the basics then the Balrog is going to pwn.

Adam, I think you've already had that character on HP. Twice.

Thing with vampires is they can use items. A werewolf can't exactly wear a magical outfit when changing. It'd get torn to shreds. (Or, I suppose in some cases, transform with him/her, but the effects are still lost..)

Werewolves can use items. Usually not clothing but trinkets, swords, and etc.
But then we trail off into vampire/werewolf references again.

I suppose it may be bit of a grey area. Though I'd say, when wolfified, a werewolf wouldn't use items. They'd be using their claws and jaws for attacking, their skin is already resistant to weapons.. But, again, that's just my opinion. As [inset name of whoever said it] said, we need to set a reference! (If no one said it, I just did..)

Actually some of the more Native American Style werewolfs are usually seen with Bone Necklaces and stuff. They could also have magical bracers on to, I have seen alot of those. (not talking RL of course)
Then in NWN form, there is Creature items a werewolf could hold. Claw, Bite, Skin etc.
Now what we need to really start talking about is What can beat a Balrog!
A Vampire Werewolf.

You need to stop watching crappy movies. There still is no such thing! If you wanna beat a Balrog, you need ... Drogo! *Nods.*

Actually, to beat a Balrog, you need an annoying NPC wizard who sacrifices himself only to show up later in the campaign with a slightly different name, slightly different look, and twice as annoying.
Drogo, being a PC, is automatically disqualified. So I'm thinking Dumbledore is our only hope of Balrog slaying. (Upon his return, I vote calling him Dussledorf.)

I think you misspelled Drado's name. It's D-R-A-D-O, not D-R-O-G-O. hehe
